  1. After going to T-Mobile Park this year where they have attempted to make a pink sponsor blend with a green palette I have realized that things could be much, much worse. The Brewers will have a great opportunity to rebrand everything in their stadium at once with the new logo+colors+sponsor. Or incorporating a giant down arrow like down on the South Side of Chicago. That is the ultimate fail. The White Sox has signed the agreement and when the company presented what they wanted on the signs the White Sox tried to get them to make it look like a home plate. They said “Nope!” and now they have that cringe worthy field name/logo. White Sox should have realized what their logo is...thus they did not. We are likely a week away from the rebrand announcement. The team store opens next Monday at 7pm. As I mentioned early on in the thread that’s a real strange time to open up a team store. Hints at something earlier in the day may be announced prior.
  2. Both were indeed intentional grounding in my opinion. Obviously hitting the yard marker is pretty straight forward, clearly didn’t make it far enough. But thus it was close so whatever...happens all the time. I though the shovel pass should have been called. The guy he was doing it towards was 15-20-25 yards down the field. Everyone knows such a pass is a 5 yard max kind of pass...to give him credit for throwing to the receiver at 3+ the distance seemed wrong. Again, I agree they rarely call them unless just blatant, but the second one I felt warranted a flag. It simply was not a true attempt to throw to a receiver or anywhere in his vicinity.
  3. One week at a time. I don’t care about the upper hand we have for tiebreakers, our schedule is no cupcake and there are a ton of games to go. The 49ers game is really really tough while the Vikings play the Broncos. If you realistically assume those games don’t go our way we are simply tied with a tiebreaker advantage with 5 games to go. I think we need a 2-1 showing over the next 3 games at least. That puts you at least in a tie advantage...likely a one game lead with the tie advantage. If we go 1-2 it could get real dicey fast. Packers definitely in the drivers seat with the bad Giants/Redskins coming up. As the Chargers game showed though (and a bunch of other times throughout games) we can look terrible real quick.
  4. Dak Prescott is a good QB. Not exactly consistent, but a solid guy. Joe Flacco has a ring and Eli Manning has two...and they are not the only not elite QBs to get a ring. Prescott can definitely lead a Super Bowl team. Isn’t exactly as dreamy as having a Rodgers/Brady/P Manning...but he can get the job done. It is terrifyingly depressing how often it takes an elite QB though...not a ton of average to good QBs winning it all lately. Of course doesn’t help Brady wins every other year essentially.
  5. Smith #91 was the big guy to come up with the play at the end. He had the legs of CMC to stop the lineman from taking him in...noticed that on the halftime replay of the night recap.
  6. Much like Wrigley Field being Wrigley...I really don’t care. I’d still rather have Miller Park be the name.
  7. Personally I never put much emotion into Packers games/seasons these days. After they destroyed years and years of Rodgers and disappointing endings to seasons I just don’t expect much anymore. I hope they put together another special season before Rodgers is done, but wow they have really messed that up so far. On another note I don’t think he got in. It looked misleading cause his body got so far, but he had that ball tucked into his body. One angle made him look a solid 1/4 yard short. I think it was the left side shot if looking toward the end zone.
  8. Disagree. I highly agree with your disagree.
  9. Yah that made zero sense...at all. The upside to that was pretty much non existent unless we ended scoring zero more points and they then scored a TD to win. Past that they aren’t many realistic scenarios where that did anything positive. If I were a Panther fan, I wouldn’t hate the call. You’re on the road and 2-point conversions are a 50/50 proposition. But why not give it to CMC? Well they didn’t give it to CMC....so.
  10. Pretty sure analytics say going for 2 points nets you more in the long run. If you like taking analytics like gospel of course. If the odds of making a 2 point conversion is anything over 50% it technically is better.
  11. Yah that made zero sense...at all. The upside to that was pretty much non existent unless we ended scoring zero more points and they then scored a TD to win (or similar scenario where they then win by 1 point). Past that they aren’t many realistic scenarios where that did anything positive.
  12. Doesn’t really matter, but should have been on no one.
  13. How many people does it take to catch an easy pick, appears to be two guys.
  14. Packers are idiots. They looked confused and uncertain on what to do and call that ultimate trash.
  15. Heard it is referred to as the “Green and Gold” coverage.
  16. Graham could not be stopped.
  17. Rodgers caught that flag like a champ.
  18. There’s something about this that makes it pretty funny. I mean look at his username.
  19. The replay system is dumb and wouldn’t have overturned it. He touched the defender and then he went flying like a deer getting hit by a semi. The replay system is way to stupid to comprehend how he faked it. It’s the whole extended arm thing too.
  20. Remember when JK Scott was good? Seems a distant memory.
  21. Nice NBA play by #47. Hard to blame a ref when the defender decides to play theater.
  22. Ain’t getting overturned though. Smart not to challenge it. I think it touched the ground, but though he controlled it before that, didn’t move when it tapped the ground, and then only moved after he started to bring it back up to spin around to his body. Is what it is though.
  23. Yes, odds are very good thay they'll lose the B10 title game if they get there. Still, if you don't want to challenge yourself against the big boys, what's the point? Might as well be a Group of 5 mid-major team then. Right, I get it. I don’t blame people for hoping for the title game. I guess I don’t hate Minnesota as much as much as other people. I typically don’t despise teams that my sports team readily dominates on a yearly basis. They just aren’t big games on the schedule and hard to really make it a rivalry when more often than not it is a bye week.
  24. So let Pomeranz walk for 1 million? If 3 at 24 million won't get it done, but 3 at 25 million will, it would be asinine to not give him the extra million. I wasn’t directly replying to people and their 3/$25mil proposals. Obviously I’d tack on a million or two. Generally speaking drawing the line at $8mil a year. I am pretty much agreeing with those numbers...I just made a logical proposal that was a round number across the board instead of a $8.3333333333mil average. Are you drawing the line at $25mil? Why not $28mil? Or just $31mil? That’s $2mil a year more...what can we even do with that money anyway? At some point you do have to draw a line and not just add a little more.
