  1. All Hader throws is a fastballs and occasional slider. Guys have figured it out...and our season is very likely over if that doesn’t magically change.
  2. Told y’all...would have went Albers. Did you guys expect any less? Pathetic pitching.
  3. I figure I can at least see when a guy will swing at balls and not throw him strikes. I also promise no strikes in a 0-2 count. That makes me better than at least 75% of our pitchers this year.
  4. Put this one in the brewerfan.net hall of fame. You realize our bullpen still needs three outs, right?
  5. Punch me in the nuts if I am wrong, but I would legit pitch Albers first.
  6. I pitched an inning and 2/3 once in little league, didn't quite make it out of the 6th inning before the winning run scored. I'd fit in with this blowpen. I pitched two 4 batters once. Walked two and then hit two, only one cried though. However this year I was coaching little league where we pitched if the player walked the opponent. There was this big fat kid who thought he was Babe Ruth. I noticed he tried to pull everything so I gave him my three best fastballs off the outside corner to strike him out. Kids and a grandma cheered me on. Bases loaded jam avoided.
  7. .406. Sogard's OPS with us last year. I am happy for the guy that he is doing well but he was one of the worst hitters ever last year. At least we got rid of him. We are still rocking one of the worst MLB positional starters for years now (oh hey Arcia).
  8. We could blame Counsell or just accept that Stearns constructed a steamy pile of manure for him to utilize.
  9. Holy crud Claudio is sucking so bad I want to summon a random forum member to pitch. He can’t even throw anything but a breaking ball...and misses most of the time. What a sad sad sight.
  10. Stearns, Peralta, and Burnes can all take a hike for this horrid pitching staff. Absolute joke. And no I’m not saying they should be sent away...but what a flop on this year.
  11. Our position players already have the 3rd highest BB% in MLB at 9.6%, only HOU (9.7%) & LAD (9.9%) are higher. This doesn't make my comment any less true by the way. If they do both they will be a dangerous offense. I do appreciate the stats. I didn't know they were that high. They walk a lot more this year and are ranked #3 in MLB...yes, they also strikeout a lot (about #25 in baseball). However, last year they ranked similar in strikeout rate among baseball and they were middle of the pack in walk rate. If it was as simple as you say they would be better than last years offense...and obviously that isn’t the case. It just does not work that way. Obviously if they were even better at walking and struck out less they would be better offensively...but you are inferring it would be some dramatic change...which is likely false.
  12. Yah people complain about Brian Anderson. Like...I don’t think they realize small market Milwaukee is going to have Craig Coshun’s of the world if he left.
  13. Ryan Braun was probably the most impressive player yesterday. Guys were swinging out of the zone pathetically often. I get Corbin is good, but there were ABs that were almost entirely on pitches out of the zone. Guys just couldn’t resist swinging even when obvious they weren’t going to get good pitches unless they had some discipline. 11/18 of their outs with Corbin on the mound were on pitches outside the zone. It would be even uglier if you counted the pitches they went after outside the zone vs. in the zone.
  14. It doesn't matter what we have done up to this point or what our record should be. All that matters is from now till the end of the year. Which is not a lot of time and one big streak (either bad/good) could write your season. Will they have to play better to make the postseason? I would imagine...and they can.
