Chase Anderson isn't much different from last year. He just has a more realistic HR rate for himself. I am not really shocked he made it to the rotation this year and did well. I predicted before the season he would be one of our Top 5 guys...unfortunately he has arguably been the best. Which, no offense Anderson, is kind of sad. Davies was injured last year, is in a complete free fall, and his supporting stats outside of ERA are all pretty much worse. Gio Gonzalez was good for us last year too...and it has been a mere 9 starts. I think Brandon Woodruff would disagree about Chase being the best for the team this year, as he has almost a 1 run higher WAR than Chase, on top of pretty much every other stat/metric Chase Anderson has arguably been more consistent and has been more healthy. Of course Counsell constantly pulling him early probably helps Anderson a lot. I didn't say he was...just that there are multiple ways he has arguably has been....which no matter how good Anderson has been is pretty sad on Stearn's part.
