  1. Didn't Sheeter fade late in the season in '08? Even as we made our big push with CC? Not really. He was pretty consistent all year. Looking back he didn’t really have a bad month at all. Though to be fair I was referring to their overall stats...not as specific as you are referring to. Feels we have guys who may have flashy stats, but put up a mid to high 3 ERA. Gallardo and Greinke both had ace stuff/secondary stats, but end of the day they gave up their fair share of runs.
  2. Can you imagine if we had a pitcher who pitched like an elite ace and had the results to match it? Brewers have literally not had one do so over a full season in a Brewers uniform since Sheets in 2008. Don’t think Woodruff will be the one to break the streak.
  3. I think that only matters if the lefties can't hit lefties, no? Right. Yelich and Moose absolutely have no trouble hitting lefties. I get a kick when opposing managers specifically make a pitching change to bring in a LHR to face Yelich. Not sure I follow...you get a kick out of the opposing manager making a move to bring in a lefty against Yelich even though he does significantly worse against LHP? His stats are still phenomenally good against LHP, but his splits are pretty large. There is about a .300 difference in his OPS and his slugging has a .200 difference. Seems like a logical move if you ask me. Much better chance to get him out.
  4. Leake wouldn’t replace Chase Anderson, he would replace Chacín...who is one of the worst starters to consistently pick up a baseball among competing teams.
  5. I thought of him, but did he actually do that with the Brewers? Not sure if I actually remember that or if he just came to mind cause the 2009 team was such trash.
  6. I think it's too soon to strip Trout of that title. And Bellinger has almost mirrored Yelich this year. Past that it drops off.
  7. Jonathan Lucroy started 2 games doing so in 2015. Did he do it as a catcher or 1B/DH....not sure.
  8. Break? It was probably centimeters off the bottom of the zone. Not like it was half a foot.
  9. Zack Greinke is a lock for the HOF. 200 wins and 3,000 Ks will surely seal the deal...both of which are very likely to be reached by him. I don’t think he even needs the 3K strikeouts, but for reference the number of 3K guys not in the HOF is zero.
  10. You are really convinced people care about post counts...I think you are the only one. Um, really? YOU JUST UNSOLICITEDLY COMMENTED ON MY POST COUNT, lol. So yes, i am convinced , of what you just proved. God the irony. Dude, I think you need a chill pill. No need to take everything so seriously...jesh.
  11. You are really convinced people care about post counts...I think you are the only one. Not sure what your excuse will be next week when you have the all-time post count record.
  12. Ok, that's the third time you'e posted essentially the same thing. We get it. Give him a break. He has to keep that 50 posts a day pace.
  13. Shaw can play SS? Arcia can and should at this point. You just have to ride it out with him. Saladino isn't the answer. They aren’t going to play games with one person who can play SS, just not happening. Especially for a few Shaw ABs a week. Where would he even play and when?
  14. Good things happen when Braun is hitting and Hiura isn’t batting 9th. Too bad Grandal is crashing.
  15. Chacin has not had a sub 5 ERA in any month yet. Get him out of the rotation already...jeez. Time to figure something else out.
  16. Some baseball fans enjoy watching more than one team and just following the game. Y’all would have more sanity if you didn’t worry about what other fans like to do. Didn’t tell anyone to do anything, no need to take everything so seriously man.
  17. Y’all would have a lot more sanity if you didn’t watch standings in July.
  18. There are many valid reasons to have Hiura not one of our Top 5 batters. Lol just kidding, there isn’t.
  19. I would be pretty shocked if they trade him...shocked. It would have to be for someone pretty controllable to do so. He is near MLB ready and has an obvious short-term place when Braun leaves or via major injury in the OF. I don't see him getting a major shot this year though. I wasn't surprised when Hiura hit the ground running, but Grisham? That would be a lofty expectation to have. Before this year his career OPS was like .700. Suddenly in 300 ABs he is going to go from struggling to hit to mashing against the best of the best? Not buying it. I would be interested to know of such a dramatic career swing in the past where a player mashed MLB pitching instantly after having a similar MiLB track record. I am and have always been a huge Grisham fan...but not even I am that bullish.
