  1. That is what I like to see Cubs!!!
  2. I want to know how many times they call a timeout to avoid a delay of game, on third and long, and then come out of the timeout to run the ball. Why even bother with a timeout?
  3. They have all day to complete a single game...they will be fine. If a hurricane came through Chicago today they could always start early tomorrow to finish it off. There is rain tomorrow too...but once again all day to complete it if need be. I would not be cheering for rain though. The Cardinals clearly have the better starter today, don’t want him knocked out early because of a delay.
  4. I agree. Incredibly obnoxious, especially when everyone should just be happy about such an incredible run. By the way, your numbers are way off. His SLG alone is 1.500 for the last 7 games. His OPS is over 2.100. Thanks for the catch, I was trying to refer to SLG.
  5. Are they wearing those blue ones with the yellow dot? I liked those before the helmet rule made them wear the blank yellow with them. Should have retired that retro jersey then.
  6. Still trying to find out what part of this sucks.
  7. How do you attack this game bullpen wise? Jeffress and Knebel have pitched two days in a row. There is only some much we do do here to be aggressive. An aggressive stance promises one pile of poop bullpen if we have to play Monday...how “worth it” is that? I’m guessing in a perfect world they want 6+ innings covered by just Gio/Peralta.
  8. I’m pretty sure it isn’t absurd to say he wasn’t on pace (really nowhere near) to get to 7 WAR a week ago. Because that is all I was doing. I will wait for you to quote yourself on how you predicted him to OPS like 1.400 this week and get to 7.4.
  9. A day like this makes me wonder if the Brewers would be better off not showing the Cubs score in LF. Make sure the players are focused on the game at hand. No need to get emotionally invest in every scoring change south on 94.
  10. It worries me that the Cardinals are on the road. At home you would definitely put together a good lineup.
  11. As someone mentioned in the other thread, I could actually see them playing better because the pressure is off. They're going to want to beat the Cubs no matter what. I hope so and I hope they put out a line up that reflects that. They definitely should since they just got knocked out...seems bitter to just put a garbage time line up out. No point to letting young guys play at this point.
  12. The Cardinals better be playing to win. I think it is lame when teams give up when still playing competing teams. Scherzer was suppose to pitch tomorrow if it had postseason implications...that’s what I love. A guy that wants to compete. I want us or the Cubs I earn the division. Not have some team rollover against one of us.
  13. Will 162 games be enough to figure out the better team? Amazing with so many games two teams can still find a way to potentially tie.
  14. The Cubs already won tomorrow? What? The Brewers will have another game after tomorrow. I don't see why you would use Chacin on 3 days rest (has he ever done that?) when there's such a high probability you'll wish you had saved him for the Cubs or the wild card game anyway. I wouldn’t use Chacin either, but if we win tomorrow and the Cubs lose we won’t play till Thursday.
  15. Chacin? He's targeted to start the WC game as of now...not sure if this will change things for them or not. It will be interesting to see who gets the call. They would probably be more aggressive if they could win the division with a win. However they play a little ahead of the Cubs tomorrow. So we don’t know what our win will equate to for the most part.
  16. The guy who's 2-for-4 with a run and a big RBI tonight? I would rather have Villar but there must have been some kind of clubhouse issue with him, I don't know. I really dont understand the Schoop hate..he has come up with some very big hits lately, and its obvious how he was pressing right after the trade. I think he will have a very nice season for us next year if he gets to play every day. He has been worse in September vs. August...but sure, we could go with that.
  17. Three outs from the craziest Game 162 Sunday in like...ever. Maybe 2008 can compete with it, but wow it could be one heck of a day to be a Brewers fan.
  18. The guy who's 2-for-4 with a run and a big RBI tonight? I would rather have Villar but there must have been some kind of clubhouse issue with him, I don't know. That doesn’t make up for the sub .200 BA and OPS near .500 this month. We would lead the division if he did something more than once a week. But likewise all he needs is hits in the right spot when everyone thinks it matters more and no one will care.
  19. Whoever was in charge of scouting Schoop should get the boot...fish unreal. We could have gotten better help for our players than this.
  20. Christian Yelich has hit 21 homers in August/September. He had that many once...in an entire season...ONCE...in an entire season!
  21. Christian Yelich has a chance at a 1.000+ OPS this year. He now sits at .999 and I am betting lots of walks are in store tomorrow.
  22. It’s all for not if we can’t get six outs here. It isn’t a clutch game winner till then.
