  1. I have two personal favorite moments. #1 Brent Suter Homer #2 Jonathan Scoop Grand Slam on September 9th. I have gone too many games over the years in this rebuild where we faced good pitchers and got flattened (Cueto 5,000 times). We finally put a good team that could get to ace pitchers...and I loved every second. Yesterday was a great moment too. To be able to clinch the first shot we had, a sweep, on the road, against another team dying to win, and against the Cardinals. It was hard fought and they pulled it out.
  2. Their tickets are still pretty expensive compared to ours. About 33% higher for nosebleeds. Also our premium seating usually ends up way cheaper than theirs. I don't think we will see a super heavy Chicago crowd...but they will come in good numbers.
  3. That is a hefty profit. People can make a solid $150 per game on postseason tickets if you get four. It is easy no effort profit. The buyer has to pay fees too. If I wanted FOB tickets they costed $100 through the Brewers at face. On StubHub you would pay $200 minimum to sit in Row 21. For a good row (which was available during the insider sale) it is sitting at $250. Not saying prices won't drop some, but instead of expensive tickets for a worthwhile postseason game it is cutting off a leg.
  4. I don't know, but the fact that the brewers are doing it for all series and not just any potential cubs matchup makes me think it might be more widespread...but just guessing. Or you know not allow people to get tickets they don't want just to sell for a big fat profit. I like allowing people to get tickets at prices that are stomachable and enjoy them. Ridiculous when people buy the tickets for $100 and turn around and sell them for $180 a piece. Any season ticket holder that buys the max of 8 or whatever just to sell the extra ones to fund the ones they use can be banned from Miller Park for all I care. Do it for regular season games I don't care, but to do it for impossible to get postseason tickets? Lame, really lame.
  5. Cubs issue attempt...not sure if any team has been this aggressive in the past.
  6. A single ticket? I still have them coming up. Terrace to be exact and even standing room.
  7. Theory is you can't sell the tickets without the barcode. So it would leave less than 6 hours for people to flip on the secondary market to Cubs fans. They all practically sold out even before today which means very little Cubs fans in the grand scheme.
  8. People are grabbing and releasing tickets though. I went into the WC game again and I got terrace to come up for me. So if anyone fails keep trying for awhile.
  9. The price flew up because they clinched...not due to the meaningfulness. That is what makes it weird. Obvious they were going to be a playoff team throughout the weekend or clinching during it for awhile.
  10. Yelich heard me complaining about the weak race and no one having a 7 WAR...pretty great he caught absolute fire to get there at the end. Still pretty weak for a MVP, but at least not embarrassingly bad for an MVP winner.
  11. Curiosity stalking: Game 1 and the WC seemed to have sold out in about 7 minutes or so. As I said long ago...if you want tickets and get in at the start you won't have a problem.
  12. Random thought useless anywhere: Ticket prices have absolutely exploded for this weekend. Went from about $12 to about $30 just to get in the door. People are weird.
  13. Exactly my point. We probably are the favorite if they lose, but if they win they are the favorite and like our best shot is Game 163. Anything can happen, but sweeping the Tigers and then hoping the Cubs go 1-2 is a push.
  14. Cubs have to lose this game if we have any realistic hopes of winning this division outright without Game 163. What a fun weekend it would make.
  15. No, it is the generic shirt for the celebrations in the locker room. Every team has a similar shirt. For $32 it can be yours.
  16. Huge win for Chicago. Now we can only hope for a lose or else we are likely battling for Game 163, puke.
  17. My god what if the Dodgers played the Cubs in the WC game? Anyone have that prediction down?
  18. The “Defend MKE” is the generic one for all locker rooms. The Brewers selected their “Our Crew, Our October” apparel and also have a “October” shirt in *Brewers* script. Both a little dissapointing.
