  1. You know how many years its been since Ueck did TV games? Give the guy a break! It’s cool...but I don’t need the radio broadcast with video.
  2. Well if we pretend he would have heated up here...I tend to be a realist and just accept we weren’t fixing him for whatever reason. Still not great...but is what it is. Still was kind of a pitiful trade value wise regardless though in my opinion. Schoop went from probably the hottest hitter in baseball to the coldest in a matter of days. If he would have kept up the pace he was at, it would have gone down as a great trade. And the team would likely have a few more wins. That's baseball, though. Yeah that is baseball...and guys don’t stay hot forever. Wish it was that easy.

  4. Wow I hate comparing the actual MVP to a series MVP. The later is a gimmicky award...the former is quite an accomplishment and deserves to go to the best player in baseball. What next? Player of the week must come from a team with a winning record that week? Terrible tragedy when anyone doesn’t consider someone because they aren’t on a winning team. Why are those guy suddenly knocked down to #2. How are they even #2? Some people vote in the weirdest ways.
  5. We cannot clinch a wild card with another win vs. Cardinals. There would still be a scenario where the Rockies win out, Cardinals win out after the one loss, and we lose out. This would set up the Rockies in the #1 spot and we would have to battle the Cardinals out for the #2 spot because we have the same record. Another win vs. the Cardinals assures us playing after game 162 and barring two teams going undefeated to close out the season and us going defeated to close out the season we will see real postseason play. All that being said absolutely insane this team is poised to win approx. 93 games...insane.
  6. I'm young, but I am not really a big fan of electronic tickets. I find it especially annoying when I sit in good seats and the ushers constantly pester to check my ticket. Sure let me pull my phone out of my pocket, unlock it, find the app, let it load for 5 hours, and then show you. It is a bit of a pain. I have never really had huge issues getting in, but a nice solid sun will make it hard to read for the scanner and as always who knows when your phone will act up or even worse...the app be down. One time StubHub's ticket shower thingy screen was down. Thankfully it got back up and running before the Brewers gates ever opened, but some people going to a basketball game or something couldn't get in right away and they were not very happy about it.
  7. Probably in jail or dead.
  8. In a situation like this people are rushing to get their order completed as fast as possible. People don't want to read, they want to hit buttons and be done. That is how I like to do it when it is something where thousands of others are getting the same opportunity at the same time. People who read get worse tickets. The Brewers pricing sheet is really strange. The third home game of the NLDS would be cheaper than the rest, but only at some sections of the stadium. On the other hand some sections are more expensive for the first NLDS game, but cheaper for the WC game or the NLDS games.
  9. I wonder if they did the bullpen game partially because where it lined up on the schedule. The "bullpen day" will be up for it's next start on Saturday. Coincidently it will give all those player two days rest before the WC game. Food for thought I guess.
  10. The playoff odds are at 99.8% people. I mean lets all breath. Tonight is the virtual clincher if we can win it...either of the next two days essentially. Now if I was the Cardinals...I would be on my 2,000th oxygen tank for the day.
  11. And let him pitch so long...it was a strange game.
  12. I just saw ratings for the Sunday night game were up 18% over last year, and it wasn't even a good game. Maybe an isolated up-tick, but despite all of us complaining most of us will still watch. That is interesting, but I must wonder if people are still in "start of season" mode. I imagine ratings might slip as the year goes on.
  13. About the only way I'll be able to afford World Series tickets. Part of me hopes they don't make it to the World Series because that's a lot of money...probably $2,000 for the trip, mostly in ticket cost. No way I wouldn't go though. Everyone should be buying tickets whether they can go or not. If you can't go shred them to make sure a Cubs fan can't get them.
  14. [sarcasm]Can't wait to get some tickets on Thursday, should make a good penny selling to Cubs fans.[/sarcasm]
  15. I mean sure, use one stat to make an argument. Javy Baez has had a huge impact on offense even if he doesn't have a bunch of walks. A 129 OPS+ is pretty darn solid. It is a close race all things considered. I like Yelich more because he truly has an elite impact on offense and is still a good defender (though vastly overrated). Yelich can also use his speed on the bases, unlike Baez who pads the SB stat getting caught almost a third of the time. Well it's a big difference maker. One guy has a .390 OBP and the other a .327 Defense is a massive difference maker too. Average corner outfielder vs. very good middle infielder.

  17. Take him out already. He is pitching like garbage and nearly hurt himself. Jeez
  18. It would be the fourth time we were burned by rain...fourth. I think one game we barely held onto in pouring rain.
  19. Wow caught a break cutting that off...Cardinals okay giving up the single run in exchange for an out. Did look weak though.
  20. I feel like one of the most miserable pitching changes is one with the bases loaded. So many guys are rusty coming in on the first batter...lots of walked in runs happen that way.
