    After Braun’s camp released the name of the sample collector MLB temporarily relieved him of his duties. I don’t know what that entailed and I don’t know if he ever started collecting samples. That isn’t the point though. The collector DID DO HIS JOB. He did what his company instructed him to do. The problem was because of communication errors between MLB and CDT. Maybe not even that. Just wording that a smart lawyer twisted to get the sample thrown out (one other player also got a suspension throw for the same reason the same time as Braun). Yes, there were Fed Ex locations open at the time...that wasn’t the problem. The problem was none of them would ship it out that day and that is what protocol says. So the handler decided the sample was safer in his hands until it could get shipped vs. sitting with a bunch of people at Fed Ex. If you trust this guy to collect it, it makes sense for him to hold onto it if it can’t get shipped. Who cares though. Braun was an idiot and had 20x the normal dose of gummy bears and got the highest test ever. The article is enlightening because it answers a lot of questions. It pretty much says Braun has cheated far longer than the 2011 he claimed, now we know why he had such a high test, and how some of these guys get it into their system. Now if I see a guy in the dugout popping candy....

    It is sad, but true. This team is just not entertaining to watch. Day after day after day. This is my first year watching the Badgers weekly (starting dating a huge Badgers fan) so that should be nice. I miss fun wins that weren’t huge disasters we feel lucky to win.

    I now hope they get swept and still make the postseason. Because saying they can't lose this series to the Reds is crazy talk. What is the difference between getting swept today and getting swept in four games on June 21-24? We don't know what other teams are going to do the next month or ourselves. Now can we keep losing series? NO! We gotta start winning games, but these games mean just as much as the ones in September. We hold a postseason spot no matter what methodology you want to use. Saying we HAVE to win games when there are over 20+ to go doesn't make any sense. How we do against the Reds is just wins and losses, nothing more meaningful. It is the overall record that really matters. The Dodgers have the best run differential in the entire NL and aren't even in a postseason slot. Wins and losses...don't care against who for either as long as it is good enough for a postseason spot.

    We are far far away from "must wins", but about to enter September and playing tomorrow to avoid getting swept by the Reds is not exactly what we need to be doing.

    It actually bugs me how...not so cool looking Prius' are. I'd love some 50mpg, but they just aren't the coolest car out there. Why can't they put one of those engines in a car that looks half decent? The newer ones are an upgrade on the outside, but the inside is straight out of Asia. I can't believe they won't make one more appealing for the American market.

    Our ERA was 5.50 because our pitcher have been that garbage...simple as that. I don’t think a 5.00 ERA is any better. Our defense can’t hold in homeruns (put your hand down Cain!) and they can’t catch line drives. I’m amazed we went 10-13 so far.

    Oh I agree, as does Bosch...doesn't change the fact it still is kind of pathetic testing in the grand scheme.

    Did you guys read the article closely enough? Bosch wasn't the guy getting caught. The players were getting caught because guys like Braun were eating an entire thing of testosterone gummy bears like it was a bag of Doritos after smoking the devil's lettuce. That is the only reason Braun got caught, because he didn't follow to protocol of taking his stuff. He went years (like since his college days) doing testosterone in some greater form that couldn't get detected and had his gummies to activate it. Pretty interesting article none the less.

    If the Brewers thought so highly of Davies coming back and being a solid rotation piece they wouldn’t have stalled getting him back to the MLB roster or tried to acquire other starters. He would you know...being starting this game. Not saying he won’t have success upon returning, but I can’t say the Brewers are all the optimistic. It’s like Woodruff...if the Brewers thought he was any good he would be on the roster, he isn’t.

    You really gotta stop acting like Davies is a terrible pitcher. I know you hate him but his entire body of work says otherwise. Getting awfully silly. He was terrible to start the year, has been injured most of the year, and is just coming back. It’s not a very promising addition. But thanks for the feedback.

    Would be great if he could be more of vintage Davies...won’t hold my breath...but I hope.

    Hoping we can go 2-1 at least against Cincy and Philly can go 1-2 or worse against the Nats. That would likely kick one more team out of the WC picture.

    I have to say I didn't predict too bad all things considered. The blue ones were really bold predictions I threw in there. Hoping my playoff and W/L record don't become true though.
