Time to lock it down! Rangers getting Lucroy according to Rosenthal.

1m Ben Badler‏ @BenBadler Would be big for the Brewers. Joey Gallo is better than any prospect in the original Indians deal that fell apart.
  3. MrTPlush
TR Sullivan 12s TR Sullivan‏ @Sullivan_Ranger Rangers talks with Brewers on Lucroy going down to the wire... Joey Gallo almost certainly a part of the discussions.....

TR Sullivan 12s TR Sullivan‏ @Sullivan_Ranger Rangers talks with Brewers on Lucroy going down to the wire... Joey Gallo almost certainly a part of the discussions.....

Remember they wanted a pitcher too.

Jeff Passan 24s Jeff Passan‏ @JeffPassan Source: Joey Gallo would be centerpiece of the package going back to Milwaukee if Jonathan Lucroy deal is completed. Been talking for days.
  7. MrTPlush
Rangers have another deal in place or close(obviously it has to be close).
  8. MrTPlush
Rangers it is it appears: Jeff Passan‏ @JeffPassan Source: Rangers deep into talks to acquire Jonathan Lucroy from Milwaukee.
  9. MrTPlush
Rangers have to get a starter or Lucroy. They are making a big trade here. They just have to.
  10. MrTPlush
om‏ @Haudricourt Sure seems like Rangers or bust unless truly is mystery team.
  11. MrTPlush
    Olney says Mets are OUT.
  12. MrTPlush
Giants may try Smith in their rotation. Probably not this year though. Regardless I don't care. We got a good haul even if he ends up a decent starter.
  13. MrTPlush
Come on both teams have made moves to prepare for this. Let's get it done.
  14. MrTPlush
Makes no sense because they are demanding a pitcher to take Lucroy.
  15. MrTPlush
No, but I can't blame Stearns if he does that. Gallo for Lucroy and additional prospects for a pitcher
  16. MrTPlush
Sounds like Gallo/Licroy deal will happen. Tom 1m Tom‏ @Haudricourt I am told that Rangers getting Beltran makes it easier for them to include Gallo in deal for Lucroy.
  17. MrTPlush
Why not? Because they might beat us for the next 1.5 years? That's going to happen whether or not they have Lucroy, may as well take some prospects from them in the meantime. Exactly I would WANT to send him to the Cubs.
  18. MrTPlush
36s Evan Grant‏ @Evan_P_Grant Rangers are still working on Lucroy with one hour to go. Logic says easier to include Gallo now, but Rangers also want pitching
  19. MrTPlush
Sounds like Gallo is going somewhere. Is it for Lucroy or did they find a match with the Rays for a starter? Sounds like the later maybe?
  20. MrTPlush
Even if Hader and Bickford don't make it as starters wow will we have one serious bullpen.
  21. MrTPlush
TR Sullivan TR Sullivan‏ @Sullivan_Ranger Logic is to get a bat and that possibly frees up Gallo
  22. MrTPlush
To play next year? Don't think it points to a Lucroy trade today 100%.
  23. MrTPlush
Uh oh...Rangers going hard for Beltran...
  24. MrTPlush
Thanks DOUG MELVIN! Helping us even after you step down. 1m Jaymes Langrehr‏ @JaymesL Because this is always fun: the Brewers turned Nori Aoki into Susac and Bickford.
  25. MrTPlush
This is why Stearns doesn't want to package Heffress or any pitcher with Lucroy without a hefty addition. Relievers are worth a ton this year.
