  1. I would say 80% of this stuff is never on TV. Can't remember the last time white water kayaking was on ESPN...or Table Tennis. I could go on.
  2. Personally I would trade Gennett, move Villar to 2B, Santana back in RF, and let Perez play 3B. I don't know if Perez is anything more than a fluke, but I would not trade him for peanuts without finding out. He is only 25, showing 20+ homer power, and a very efficient 40+ stolen base potential. Perez could be valuable....very valuable. Maybe down the road Isan Diaz makes it to the MLB squad and we can shift Villar over to 3B, but he is a long way off. For now I would move Villar to 2B.
  3. Is there an estimate on how long Santana's rehab assignment with Wisconsin will be? It sounded like it might be a lengthy rehab assignment and was hoping to see him next week.
  4. I like the gymnastics, but the fact countries are limited to two gymnast in the all-around...is well...the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I just can't wrap that around my mind.
  5. Dang I loved Cody Buckel in the day. To think he has never gotten to AAA is amazing.
  6. Thank god for less bobbleheads. They are HORRIBLE giveaways at this point. They are worth nearly nothing and it is either Braun or some guy who won't be relevant 5 years from now.
  7. One of my favorite moments was this homer. The bat flip is amazing, the distance is incredible, and if you look at the landing spot it is priceless: http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/0/v14276275/mil-hou-prince-goes-back-to-back-with-braun
  8. Prince Fielder is not even close to being a HOF player nor should retiring his number even be considered. That being said Braun/Fielder combo was one of the greatest things in franchise history. Miss those days a lot.
  9. You seem way too concerned about Tebow's life.
  10. Appears he will be leaving $96mil on the table to walk away from the game. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/08/prince-fielder-likely-to-announce-retirement.html
  11. Maybe you guys should go away? Why can't a man do something without people attacking him? We was a really good baseball player back in high school. Honestly probably good enough to play some passable minor league baseball. If the dude wants to tryout for some MLB teams why can't he? If you read the article it says he tried out for the Dodgers before the season and they had some kind of interest in him. Sounds like he may be better than you guys are giving him credit for. I didn't read anything where he wants an MLB contract. Maybe he is just hoping to play some minor league baseball and see where it takes him. He can be a broadcaster till 100 if he wants. However his time to play professional sports is much shorter. It sounds like he has actually put some work into this without making it a publicity circus. Good for him and good luck.
  12. And a good portion of his team control will be getting things back together after TJ. It can take a year or so from when most pitchers are okayed to pitch before they're back to their pre-TJ level of success. Therefore, by the time he'd be ready to help us, we'd be trading him away for prospects. The Mets know they don't want to have him getting back to par in their MLB rotation, so they keep trying to dump him onto the Brewers. I'm glad Melvin was saved from himself when the Mets backed out of the deal, and I'm glad Stearns chose other teams' proposals over the Mets'. You know the Brewers supposably wanted Wheeler right? So Stearns was saved by the Mets not wanting to add him to a deal. Stearns choose other options because he couldn't get Wheeler.
  13. I don't think Atlanta would appreciate you trading Jed Bradley.
  14. Do you really think if we don't have an abundance of SS, CF or pitching prospects that we couldn't trade one of them for a 1B prospect when we actually need one? What are you going to do? Trade Arcia/etc. and let some unknown play? Risky Trade a prospect for a prospect? Hard and unlikely idea Trade a bunch of high quality prospects for a short term proven MLB player? Meh Big money for a FA? Yikes
  15. What was the package from the Astros? Pretty sure he meant Rangers
  16. I don't think the Davis trade will haunt us unless he gets his 2014 doubles power, 2015 OBP% skills, and his 2016 power all put together. If he does that, yah, Stearns will look pretty stupid. I'm not holding my breath, but I guess it could happen. For the record Khris Davis isn't a one trick pony. He is hitting for an average AVG. One of the reasons he is valuable and Carter is worthless. If you can hit .250 and have serious power you will stay afloat and teams will want you for that power.
  17. I have this weird fascination with the long distance stuff for the finishes. They are so strategic. My personal favorite is the cross country skiing for Winter Olympics. The white water kayaking is quite interesting.
  18. Unless the Brewers draft in the Top 5, I highly doubt they'll be able to draft him. Draft is nearly a year away. Might not even be a Top 15 talent by then. Never know happens every year.
  19. Leody's Taveras could always be a backup option if the Medicaid are murky after te MiLB season. Which honestly wouldn't be surprising. Or Taveras could get blazin hot and we change our mind about said pitcher. OR maybe the preferred player isn't even a pitcher and the injury thing was a blanket statement. I'd wait even if it was a position player. We have the luxury of waiting even if the preferred player currently has no injury concerns.
  20. I'm going to go with the boring option and he is the guy picked because he has already burned an option and on the 40man roster. Only other real option was Suter, but he is not on the 40 man roster. Sjnce Guerra isn't said to be out for long(yet putting Suter on the 40 man and wasting an option would be wasteful.
  21. Too bad even when you put talent on that team they still epically suck. I doubt anyone in Florida cares about the Brewers top prospects. Heck do they even care about winning games? That team has quite a bit of talent now and is 39 games under .500.
  22. We could destroy it too if we could spend $10mil+ and $4mil+ on a single player. We can't do that. The best we can do is hand out all our money to one so-so player like Lara. Which then means we can't sign other players.
  23. Some? How many actually think we should have held onto Davis? I think Briggs is the only one that wanted to hold onto him. Everyone else is disappointed that it looks like Nottingham isn't going to stick at catcher, which is fair, and would have preferred to trade him at this deadline when he might have brought back more. I don't think it was wrong to trade him, but as it looks Nottingham is going to be a flop. Sorry but he is a massive long shot to stick at catcher and I doubt he hits to be good anywhere else. Trading Davis was fine, but there were big concerns about Nottingham and they have pretty much been validated. I just don't think there was much of a choice with Davis. We had to open up a spot for Santana. If that was the best deal...well...fine.
  24. I'd say the odds of Villar being traded is between .000001% and .00001%. Jonathan Villar is incredibly valuable and could be huge part of our next contending team. The return would have to be absolutely massive. At minimum one would need a Top 20 prospect plus way more. I just don't see that happening.
  25. Gallo was optioned after the trade. Approx. 6pm So by rule I don't think he can be an option.
