  1. Unfortunately Jungmann has been quite a bit worse and he doesn't have a track record of success. Wouldn't be surprised if we never see Jungmann as a full time starter again. He had his chance and just blew it with many guys waiting in the wings.
  2. Not going to happen 0% chance...none. Especially this close to the cut off date for an extra year. Won't see him till we get through a bit of 2017 after the cut off date then. There is just little reason to lose so much team control.
  3. I think they are all surprised because they all are on a schedule that beats the system...or so they thought could beat the system. I am sure a good majority of players testing positive passed many tests prior to the positive one while doing PEDs. The amount of players between MiLB and MLB that are sliding under the system thinking they are invincible is probably startling. One of the Top 10 players in all of baseball is probably taking an illegal substance. Unfortunately the MLBPA will never do what is right and that is even worse penalties and the ability to void contracts. Though the later is a slippery slope and not as simple as it might be in theory.
  4. I feel like most would go through the team or maybe a personal trainer if the know them very well. I don't think players do it themselves...unless of course they are getting a banned substance. If they do it themselves they are just complete idiots...so many educated avenues to go through. No reason for them to buy that stuff themselves. Honestly I don't think there are ever "accidents". I think all players know.
  5. Are they just trying to give him more bullpen experience. He is a fairly new to relieving. Or they just want to get him more AA and above experience? Regardless can't wait for him to get a shot at some point this year.
  6. Probably, but having extra testosterone in your system could be for any number of reasons. The sample collector? No but in all seriousness as I just added Clostebol seems to typically be taken with a testosterone booster for best results.
  7. Dee Gordon took exogenous testosterone and clostebol...he knew exactly what he was taking and knew it was banned. Clostebol is specifically used by athletes to increase physical performance. Sounds like he was probably on some pretty good stuff. Search Clostebol on google and lots of bodybuilding forums pop up and its along with testosterone can be decently potent.
  8. I feel like I have been waiting a decade for Magnifico to make the bullpen...mostly due to how awesome his last name is.
  9. Jorge Lopez is a good pitcher. I think much like some other guys we have had come up recently he is sort of a coin flip. Does he become Nelson or does he end up more like a Peralta? That being said he has only had 4 starts and his walk rate is ridiculous along with his hits given up. I am sure he will turn it around. However if Hader ends up in the bullpen and Lopez doesn't end up a solid mid-rotation guy that really hurts the construction of our future rotation. One(or two) of these guys need to get into the rotation so he(or them) can be a rock solid veteran by the time we are competing. We need some experience in the rotation down the road that we can depend on.
  10. The rotation even in the future is a bit of a mystery. The three guys in the near future all have some big concerns: Zach Davies: The kid is tiny. His ability to start in the rotation, be healthy, and perform is pretty questionable. Jorge Lopez: Ok I am not going to totally throw Lopez under the bus, but he has been absolutely awful for far. Causes some concern to say the least. Josh Hader: I really doubt he can last in the rotation. He is small and doesn't have the stamina. If he does someone make it as a starting five he probably won't be as good as some may think he can be. Sure we have Ponce, Medeiros, and Williams even lower on the farm, but who knows what they will end up as. Until they get some experience at AA they are wildcards. I don't think our pitching in the minors is that bad though. I am sure we will get a couple solid mid rotation guys out of this bunch. Not having that frontline guy to put them over the top is kind of a thorn in the side.
  11. The power hasn't shown up, but since I gave him a bit of support: Took his average from .200 to .300 Has only struck out in 20% of his at-bats(good for him)
  12. .500 OPS is better than you expected? I am not buying that. Expected him to suck, fine, but expecting his OPS to be this low was expected by no one.
  13. Who do you want Boyer? Torres? More Capuano? The answer is our bullpen sucks and our starters can't get through 5 innings that is why.
  14. Did he actually ever have that ball? Couldn't really tell the FS Crew sucks and doesn't show good replays.
  15. ......................................................................................................................................
  16. We kept Arrieta to 5 innings and scored a run on him at home. We can turn this season around!!
