  1. If it is me as long as he has 90+ pitches after a, hopefully, scoreless 6th I am pulling him. If Peralta is all about confidence don't give him a chance to ruin a really good start.
  2. And he is through 5 innings on 80 pitches! WOW! Who predicted that after the 2nd inning!?
  3. His pitch count is up to 72 - might not make it! We are treating this rare occorance like we may never see it again in our generation. Pitch count does not exist...he is in there till he loses his quality game chance.
  4. Two-Thirds of the way to a quality start people. 6 maricle outs away and he can still give up a run.
  5. Craig Counsell for President He was right. Pull him now on this high point of the season.
  6. At some point I feel bad Peralta. Brewers just throw him out there and act like he can just right the ship with time. His command is way off and even his velocity is pretty questionable throughout a game. Something is just not right with him. Peralta isn't this bad.
  7. I am not a Peralta hater by any means but....at least we don't have to watch him fail at sac bunting today. And wow what garbage on Walsh...should have been a walk. Why didn't we get that call on Mauer? Yawn.
  8. Was expecting Walsh to throw it home and get no out...[sarcasm]because that is exactly what Peralta needed.[/sarcasm]
  9. And if we win today we'll be on pace for a 69-93 season. Win tomorrow as well and we're on pace for a 76-86 season. Extrapolation is pretty meaningless this early in the season. Didn't say it wasn't. Just commenting on what I have seen some people say...that a 5-8 record is to some degree a solid record. Which I would have to say it isn't.
  10. Weather should be fine...very low chance of rain at 3pm. It is an afternoon game. It will get in eventually if a rainstorm pops up. Lots of time to sit around.
  11. Brewers Live is pretty bad, but I think they just put "Yuniesky Betancourt" and "Top Talent" in the same graphic.
  12. Well yes, 5-8 is bad, and projected out it's bad. But the pyth 3-10 is REALLY bad, projected out would be 37 wins. D: Pythagorean W/L is pretty misleading as it is...and this many games in the season pretty pointless.
  13. Scooter Gennett's OBP is .400 Things I never thought possible.
  14. I have heard some say our record is misleading...but do you realize we are on pace for a 62-100 season? Our record is actually really bad, but it look a lot better than it is because we are only 3 games under .500
  15. Victor Roache as I think he is officially under the radar to most. That power potential is enormous. He is still only 24 so maybe things can click for him soon.
  16. Why do you people still think I am evaluating a trade? FORGET ABOUT LIND. I am evaluating the value of the players in the other side of that deal. Sorry for any misunderstanding, but I am NOT evaluating that trade period. And yes you can put a value on three teenagers...every single player that exists has some kind of value. Those kids are close to unknown for the most part and since they are so far away their odds to make the MLB are very low...then to make an impact, even lower. For that reason on the trade market their value would be quite low since their floors are scary low and their ceiling is, for the most part, a mystery. So back to Carter and his possible trades. Do you pull the trigger come July for some total unknowns that have little value or do you hold out and hope you can nab something that is a bit more of a known commodity that has a better chance to actually make an impact? To me I don't think it is obvious to dump Carter at the deadline if he is doing well like some may think. I think it is worth gambling a couple lousy prospects(value wise) and hope that he can build on a strong first half to really up his value. Because I don't think a good first half is going to get a lot of teams believing in him while a full year could make some look at him as a legit starter at 1B/DH. Not like we have anyone knocking on the door. Throw that one dollar in the slot machine and hope you hit a (small) jackpot.
  17. Alright guys we have a quick window at about 2-3am it looks like. Get a quick nap in the clubhouse.
  18. Nothing to do with Lind...just the return it got. It was a very weak return(for any trade). On a value scale it was probably a 2/10. Not saying Lind was worth more than that, but one can't deny the return was very little. So do you trade Carter for some total unknowns or do you hold off hoping for better? Pretty low risk to take that gamble. Aaron Hill has a higher OPS than Lind right now. Umm ok? Did you miss the part of my comment having NOTHING to do with Lind?
  19. I don't really care if Aaron Hill is on this team, but I also agree that he may be playing a tad too much. Not that playing Walsh is really going to accomplish anything. He is going to be over matched and do poorly. I don't think it is going to do him any good...he will be back to the minors next year where he belongs.
  20. I will take less homers if it means a higher AVG and OBP...he still has quite a few doubles for 50 at-bats. He is one a pace to reach 50 so it isn't like he has failed in that category. Not really concerned by his lack of power since it has only been half a month. Some guys take a bit to get started up. Of course even if the 30 HR power never comes to fruition he is still one to put up a solid stat line. Not to mention he is pretty good at putting together a good at-bat almost every time he is up there.
