  1. Luc is a black hole everywhere. He is a walking black hole.
  2. Nice! You must say everything perfectly! You know how many different ways people say different words?
  3. Props to Shane Peterson for pushing up Zimmerman's pitch count.
  4. I don't think a hot stretch meant a whole lot. Players always go on hot streaks and Gatewood looked pretty bad before. Let him take his hot streak to Helena. Did Medeiros stay or go to Helena too?
  5. I thought he played it pretty nicely for the carom off the wall. The throw, on the other hand, was both off target and a lollipop. Should have made Span pay the price for trying to get to 2b. Reaction time....dreadful Play off the wall....good(always been pretty good at that) Throw....Yikes
  6. Oh Braun...standing there like the ball was hit right at you only to scurry back to retrieve a ball hit midway up the wall. I don't think he would have caught it with a good jump on the ball, but another example of his poor skills out in RF.
  7. Teams have done it in the past. For example, in the 2013 draft, the Blue Jays gave Rowdy Tellez $850k in Round 30, and Jake Brentz $700k in Round 11. That same year the Cardinals gave Steven Farinaro $750k in Round 11. Can't find if anybody bested the Tellez bonus for the 2014 draft. The rumor (not sure of the ultimate source) is that Rodon wanted a deal in that range, $700k, back in 2011. I feel like the Brewers will be saving a lot of money in Round 5 and can probably squeeze some extra money out of most of the college players they picked after Round 6, $700k-$800k doesn't seem that far-fetched but maybe I'm wrong. By no means is it unheard of, but it takes a bunch of different events to make possible. The Tellez scenario was very unique...I don't think the Blue Jays thought they could sign him when they drafted him. While they will save some money it will mostly be handed out to some of their top picks. Clark will get a slight chunk and the Canadian they took will get a hearty chunk himself if he will sign. 700k is realistic before some of their top picks gets over slot bonuses. A lot lower afterwards.
  8. Going out on a limp here, but I am pretty sure no team is going to hand out $500k+ for a guy after the 10th round. If they though that highly of a player they would have been drafted earlier.
  9. From what I have heard from Met's fans and experts Flores should not be anywhere near SS. He is 100% a third baseman put at SS.
  10. Who are we clearing 3B for? Luis Sardinas so he can at least get at-bats? If he does well then trade him, Segura, or Gennett after the season? Not like we have any true third basemen to try out. Too bad Jason Rogers can't play over there. Who cares? Spread the at-bats around and see what the younger guys can do. The Brewers are going nowhere, might as well see what they have going into 2016 for bench options. Exactly what I mentioned after what you bolded.

  12. He gave them a chance to win. A good chance by only giving up two runs. Better than what he usually does. Maybe he can build off of it and have a nice start. His change up was looking nice thats for sure.
  13. That commercial is horrible. Just really not a good choice.
  14. This baserunning is 10x worse than the Brewers. No reason to attempt second base on that hit. Braun was being a tad casual getting to the ball, but he was still out by a good amount. Should be down by more than 2 runs here.
  15. Why do you think they never showed it landing? Either it hasn't landed or it is so far away the camera can't see it anymore.
  16. Brian Anderson just explained why Braun is garbage in the field, "Came in, now going back." Ryan Braun gets burned so many times coming in on a ball behind him it is just sad. Missed that instructional in middle school on never making your first step forward. He can't read the ball off the bat to save his life in RF. I don't remember him being that bad in LF, but maybe I just wasn't that observant.
  17. Lohse is quickly coming to the end of his tenure with the Brewers...his release should come soon. Waste of space at this point.
  18. The sky is falling! Gomez caught the third out and played it like there were two. Who cares! Honestly it means nothing and had no effect on the game. No coach cares about stuff like that....now treating the second out like it is the third out is a totally different story. I watch infielders do that on a daily basis...I don't see people losing their minds over that. Most people laugh actually.
  19. Not to mention he doesn't even have a position. Scouts say he is NOT a SS...period. Then a lot of scouts say 3B is wishful thinking too.
  20. They make a ton of sense as trade partners. They could use just about every Brewer that is on the block. Segura and Ramirez make the most sense, but a couple of the others make sense too. Parra, Braun, and Gomez would all help them greatly if they want to move an expensive salary to the bench...though I would be a little skeptical on that front. I would be really surprised if Ramirez doesn't end up a Met.
  21. I'd predict very disssapointing returns on K-Rod, Parra, and Lind. K-Rod never has interest in him no matter what he does. He might net a so-so prospect, but I doubt much more. Parra is probably in that same boat. Lind you might be able to get a team to cough up a decent prospect, but then again we gave up a guy we were about to non tender to get him. Lind is a bit of a mystery at this point.
  22. Moving Segura to third would be a complete waste of talent. I don't think he would be the best defensively at 3B, he has little power, and is slightly above average with the bat. Production is down at 3B in recent years, but I think they would be better suited to shift him to 2B or trade him. That is where they will maximize his value when Arcia arrives. Sorry it's not a waste of talent. In today's game with shifts often leaving just one infielder on the third base side, having a SS with range there is a huge advantage. If you take out 2014, Segura's slugged .420. Add on his ability to steal and take extra bases, he certainly provides enough offense there. Time to start thinking a little more out of the box MrTPlush. Besides if they hold on to Segura for another year, chances are his value as a SS increases as he distances himself from 2014. I have always gone back and forth on Segura at 3B. All I see is the potential to be average there at best. I have always thought trading him for a sweet package is a better idea. Get some promising guys...not an average 3B for the next 3 years.
