  1. That was a little before I started going. But I saw them try on the day of The Crush, and then they really gave it a hell of a try on the night of Stocco's QB draw. Both wins over Michigan of course, a couple all timers for my personal games attended.
  2. 🤣 I've seen it attempted, you'd need heavy equipment and/or explosives at Camp Randall.
  3. Could they screw up victory formation?
  4. I'm not so sure about this one. For one, I don't really think Woodruff would accept the QO, so then we'd get that draft pick. And if he did accept, a 1/$22m might not be bad at all. Or it might be really bad, who knows. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
  5. You called that one. I felt it too. Decided not to watch yesterday, thankfully.
  6. Should have beat them yesterday. This felt inevitable from the start. Everyone across mlb should just Sunday lineup vs dodgers, take them down collectively, get them unaccustomed to facing an mlb team, then spring them upon them in the postseason. That’s my idea for how to stop them from winning every championship from now until forever anyways. Open to ideas.
  7. I hope this game goes 37 innings
  8. I definitely could see the cubs signing Schwarber and putting Suzuki back out in RF.
  9. Anecdotally I'd say you're spot on. I've spent a good chunk of time in Canada driving between Wisconsin and Alaska over the years. Talked baseball with Canadians and of course Toronto is their team, everywhere. Heck, even people near Edmonton were over the moon when the Raptors won the championship a few years ago. Which all makes perfect sense to me. I've wondered before if Calgary could be a possibility. Edmonton isn't terribly far away so they might draw fans from there. Although Calgary and Edmonton don't exactly like one another...
  10. I don't know, Matthew. I guess I pretty much just view Yelich as a DH at this point. Chourio and Frelick are locks and Collins has a pretty good shot at getting plenty of PT. I don't claim to know the Brewers' plans for the 40 or financials, but what I hope happens is they give Mitchell one last shot this year and keep Perkins to hedge against Mitchell's next injury, should it occur. Does Rock Ridge have any options remaining?
  11. Thank you for the clarification. As to the bolded part, professional baseball was just fine without the ghost runner for 151 years. I think it would be a real travesty to shoehorn this hokey rule into postseason play. It's bad enough we have to live with it during the regular season now.
  12. I do not agree with this, and I went to bed after the 16th in Alaska time zone. If the game goes late, oh well. I decided I didn't need to stay up to see the Dodgers inevitably walk it off. Heck of a game though. I'm glad it wasn't decided with some goofy new rule.
  13. Yep. I thought Smith put his zoomball in the seats. I was shocked when it died out there. What a game.
  14. Speaking of covering, what was the spread? I heard 34 early in the week. If it’s still 34 I don’t know how I’d play it even tied 0s with under 4 left in the half
  15. Don't need to be better than LA (on paper, record, what have you) just need to outscore them in enough games to win a series in the postseason. Baseball is silly enough where that can happen with the right circumstances, even if it didn't this year. In my opinion, being there always gives you a puncher's chance.
  16. I'm not sure how I feel about that one. This summer was the first time I noticed this feature in Google maps, I was driving through BC on the way back to AK, on an unfamiliar route so had maps on. There were 3 or 4 times where the traffic ahead of me started abruptly braking hard. When I got to that point, maps chirped at me about police (which were not even running radar, just removing debris, helping someone, etc) so I can only guess they (the people ahead of me) had maps going in their vehicles too. It was a bit of an annoyance.
  17. 3B is what he's done most of. No idea how well he plays the position, but he definitely cut down on the errors from early in his career. Though Turbo's right. If the Dodgers are interested, that's where he'll end up. And if they're not interested, why would we be?
  18. I thought the same, but as it turns out, it was all filmed in Canada's Quebec and Alberta provinces.
  19. We checked out Last Frontier this week (of course, we're in AK so had to check it out) and yeah so far so good. They definitely like the cliffhangers. We'll probably check out E4 right away Friday when it drops.
  20. Yup. I believe it was Wahl who slipped and that's why it got stuffed. Later when the other 4th came, I could feel it in my gut that Sherman wouldn't go for it then (he didn't) and as a result the Packers would lose. Still haunts me to this day. That loss suuuuuucked and it was stupid.
  21. I agree with you categorically on that. Especially in this case, as the coverage would presumably result in increased donations to the aid and relief causes to help the many people whose lives have been uprooted.
  22. Murph needed to get a Fathead of one of the Dodgers' SO- perhaps Mariana Vicente (Kike Hernandez) or Chelsea Freeman- in a bathing suit. Keep it in the locker room, but cover it with four pieces of cardboard, removing one piece after each Brewers win in the NLCS. But he didn't, so we lost.
  23. Yesterday I flew out to Kipnuk and Kwigillingok. The devastation was unreal. The homes that were on highest ground/pilings remained. The rest had moved and some moved far. Houses everywhere, some came to rest 10 miles or so away I’d guess. It is amazing that more lives were not lost.
  24. All the devastation to the communities in the area I live due to Typhoon Halong. I barely missed being in Kipnuk for the storm, I got out Friday afternoon. Many of the people there have lost everything. Winter will be here well before there are any solutions. It is heartbreaking.
