He’s going to need to plan for pay raises and promotions for some of the staff because other teams are certain to try to poach anyone they can from us. Not that it’s anything new but it’s bound to be more of the case than ever before.

I do too. He’s not perfect but he’s not bad and has in my opinion been improving with more experience. I think some people just like to complain about broadcast personnel. Hell, I remember people complaining about Sophia saying “he said “ when translating a Spanish speaking player’s response for the audience. I mean, what else is she supposed to say??

Exactly. I don’t know if he’ll be physically ready but if he is and staff like what they see then I feel pretty good about him contributing in the WS. He has great mental makeup and knows how to pitch, even without the big fastball.
