  1. Suddenly the Luck pendulum swings hard in the Brewer direction.
  2. Michael Gonzalez now has an ERA of 11.40 over 45 innings in rookie ball last year and this year. That's a lot of runs.
  3. 12 hits 0 runs 4 errors, lose 1-0 in 12 innings allowing 2 hits for the entire game. That's one of the most frustrating losses I've ever heard of.
  4. They've lined out to Pence about 5 times tonight, especially earlier in the ball game. Actually there was 4, but nothing hard after the 4th inning. Stratton wasn't dominant at all tonight, and he actually fell behind in a lot of counts, we just couldn't make him pay. Not saying there were no good ABs tonigbt, but they were definitely outnumbered by the bad ones. I mean I'll admit, the 8th and 9th were pretty brutal and that does skew things a bit. Just seemed like earlier in the game they didn't strike out, they drew walks, were working deep into counts and hitting hard liners and grounders that found gloves. I'm just not that mad about this one, but the next two are super winnable games. Those are two bad starting pitchers, especially Moore. They need to get the next two.
  5. If that is going to get you bent out of shape might as well close your account down now. Stay around long enough and you will realize that wasn't very condescending. Also the mods around here hunt down condescending posts like it is their full time job. I'm kidding of course, but condescending stuff usually gets shot down real fast by the mods. That wasn't really condescending. Condescending - having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority. Telling me the Giants even beat better team then the brewers sometimes isnt condescending??? Lol Given your posts in this gamethread today, most would honestly think you need to be reminded of this.

  7. Believe it or not, in baseball, you can hit the ball hard and it can be caught.
  8. [sarcasm]this is a rebuilding year anyway[/sarcasm] The excuse some give when this team looks terrible that is given to fans that dont accept mediocrity, half ass play, stupidity in games, plain bad ole baseball and no effort. I mean I didn't expect them to win every game the rest of the season (not that they've lost this one yet). They've played some good baseball lately, and I don't think today was much different, there were plenty of well hit balls, they found gloves. They've actually had a lot of good ABs today.
  9. We need a rally! http://media.jrn.com/images/1500*1956/b99510233z.1_20150531235115_000_g8gbaacs.1-0.jpg
  10. Thames has been an above average offensive player every month but June, this is not a logical stance. Would you rather have Thames or Aguilar getting majority of at bats? Probably Thames, Aguilar can face all the lefties though.
  11. Hell of a start, I thought they'd only get one in Colorado.
  12. We've got enough off days in this stretch, not the worst idea just to put Knebal in to finish this
  13. The Cubs... LOSE!!!!!!
  14. Yikes, we need a pessimism thread after that one.
  15. Brian Anderson is an outstanding announcer and we're lucky to have him.
  16. In my time following the Brewers I've listened to Uecker, Jim Powell, Cory Provus, Joe Block, Jeff Levering, and Lane Grindle. I would rank Uecker as my 6th favorite. When I'm working sometimes I like to know what's going on in the game I'm listening to. When I'm at games and Uecker is on in the background in the stadium it's amazing how often what happened on the field and what Uecker is describing are two entirely different things.
  17. The scary thing is how much worse it used to be. Umps today are great compared to 10+ years ago. Today we ***** about an inch or two off the edge, in the past some pitchers got 6+ inches off the corners all the time.
  18. I was 7 years old and had just got home from school, turned on the game and only saw the 9th inning. Still one of the best walkoff wins I've ever seen!
  19. How many with only one? Four Reds, Brewers, Giants, D-Backs The Oakland A's have the most 100 loss seasons of all time with 16!
  20. Yeah I've been waiting for Uecker to retire for a while now. If we're down a bunch of runs he's a good guy to have in the booth, just not in a close game.
  21. In fact there are only two teams in the majors with 0 100 loss seasons in their history (Angels, Rockies)
  22. Considering they've had one 100 loss season in their history I'd say the Brewers are one of the best franchises of all time in not losing 100 games in a season.
  23. And I'm not convinced its adjusted for batter height. It's good for the plate, but I don't see it adjusting in size for every batter.
