  1. Incredible work, I didn't think they had a chance at signing this many of the high schoolers. On paper, might be the best draft I can remember.
  2. And a minute later tie game! The power of positive thinking!
  3. Top 10 in all of baseball in GIDP, Contreras is not the man you want up with a runner on first.
  4. This guy sucks, time to get a million hits today.
  5. People can laugh at it if they want, but plain and simply, signing 16 year olds for millions of dollars has not worked out to this point for the Brewers. Now sure they do the same thing with the draft, but draft picks work out at a much higher rate as these are 18, 21, or 22 year olds generally. I hope these two end up as quality big leaguers one day for the Brewers but I doubt it will work out.
  6. I love the idea. They should definitely do this. I really don't see the point in continuing to give ABs to Winker.
  7. For all the attention that guy gets, he's gonna be hitting .220 by the end of the year if he doen't improve that K/BB ratio.
  8. I'll take the extra reliever or outfielder over blowing the money on lottery tickets.
  9. They really should not trade any big leaguer at the deadline, especially after last year.
  10. I am not against Latin American players. Many of them are stars in the league. I am against the DSL and the practice of signing 16 year olds. Its a stupid investment when the average age of an MLB rookie is 24 years old. It's not surprising that the Brewers have seen little to no return on their investment.
  11. I would absolutely take the extra relief pitcher or 2 WAR outfielder each year. Our top prospect list has been littered with DSL guys for years, they come stateside, they don't hit the ball. Hopefully they at least get some value out of Chourio and Quero by trading them at the deadline this year while both are still considered prospects.
  12. They are a cash strapped organization. They would 100% be better off spending more at the big league level than continuing to waste millions signing these 16 year olds. Near 100% bust rate and 5+ years of development needed for each prospect. This entire system with the DSL is complete nonsense.
  13. Pretty much, just like how a couple years ago it was Hedbert Perez as the next big prospect and now he can't hit in A ball. 20 years of DSL and 0 big league Brewer hitters developed. A complete waste of resources.
  14. I count 3 out of last 6 days looking at the game logs. Off on 6/30, 7/1, 7/4. Payamps has seen heavier workload as of late. Devin has pitched the least amount of innings this year of all our bullpen regulars, he is not overworked, he's been babied
  15. So is there a reason Devin Williams can't pitch today? It's not like he's been overused compared to others in the pen.
  16. At no point in time have the Brewers had a more sustained run of success than the success they've had over the last six years.
  17. That's how it goes when the devoted fan site sells out to the corporate overlords.
  18. Now that's a Brewer debut for the ages! On the first pitch too!
  19. Seems odd that a guy having that good of a season in AAA would be released.
  20. DSL is closer to the local little leaguers who wear big league caps and uniforms than they are the major leagues.
  21. Anyone know the updated rain delay rules? Could this game end after 8 innings if it doesn't stop raining?
  22. Its generally been the opposite, they find ways to hold onto one run leads. They are bound to lose some close ones like this eventually.
