  1. Debatable on McCutchen. He didn't play enough to have any meaningful defensive stats and I don't think he could hold up playing every day in the field anyway. All the others played other outfield positions because they weren't the worst outfielder on the team.
  2. Remember everybody, LF is usually everybody's weakest outfielder. You could do worse than Yelich out there.

  4. No any glimmer of hope ended when they lost second game to St louis this week.

  6. Welcome to today's baseball. It's not 1999 anymore. Offense and batting averages are down everywhere.

  8. So they really couldn't possibly drop Jake McGee from the active roster to make room for Lamet?
  9. I don't get it. The Brewers traded for Narvaez while he was big leaguer and did not develop him in the minors.
  10. For most or all of the 15, their value will never be higher than it is now. Hopefully most will be used as trade pieces within the next two years.
  11. I don't think Bickford was DFA'd only because of his two bad major league outings. We have coaches that see these guys every day in the minors. The Brewers had multiple seasons of watching the guy and they knew or they thought they knew what they had in the guy and whether he was worth a spot on the 40 man. I think the fact that they actually didn't have much time watching him is what lead to him being released. He pitched a total of 2 innings above high A for the Brewers. Injuries, his weed suspension and COVID are the reasons he never got to show what he had with the Brewers. The fact we lost this guy so we could call up Zack Godley really sucks but you can't win 'em all. Well part of that is due to Covid last year and pitching in simulated games at Appleton as that kind of took the place of the minors last year. But good point, they never really did get a look at him facing AAA or AA hitters and that probably led to a poor evaluation.

  13. If any of you live around the Fox Valley, try Village Pub Pizza for frozen pizza. They have them in all the supermarkets and some gas stations around here. Ever since I tried one a few years ago I don't think I've ever bought another frozen pizza brand.
  14. You must've been incredibly optimistic on Gallardo when he first broke into the big leagues if you think a knee injury his rookie year lead to a disappointing solid 9 years as a starter.
