  1. There's no recipe for postseason success. Its not power hitters, contact hitters, great bullpen, great rotation, etc. Its not getting hot at the end of the season. It's mostly just randomness.
  2. What a joke of a postseason
  3. Quick google search shows Marquette basketball top 10 in the nation in revenue https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/schools-that-make-the-most-money-off-college-basketball Money must be coming from somewhere regardless of supposed interest levels in central Wisconsin.
  4. Marquette being closer to UW-Green Bay than UW-Madison is so far from the truth. They literally come into this year ranked 11th in the initial Ken Pom rankings. For what it's worth, the initial AP rankings have them ranked 5th! Marquette packs the Fiserv Forum while UWGB will struggle draw 1,000 most nights.
  5. Thoughts and prayers to all the ESPN NBA analysts
  6. While that may be true, I think they would have had a tougher time in the NLCS vs LA (or MIL).
  7. I don't think they lose by 50+ next week, Ohio St hasn't been scoring that many points this year. Sure Wisconsin probably losses but maybe they show some fight and keep it close.
  8. Remember a big part of this is that Philly did luck out and get AZ in the NLCS. AZ has no business being in the postseason
  9. I haven't watched a second of preseason. I find it a little concerning the rookie head coach has already had an experienced assistant walk out of the job. I also find it hard to believe they hired the best guy for the head coaching job. I also don't care about what you agree with or don't agree with. This will be the last post I read or reply to of yours.
  10. You have to give it a couple of years when the offensive system was changed so drastically. Its going to be tough this year but that can happen in a rebuild.
  11. Somebody's a little sensitive about the Bucks lol. I'm sure they'll be just fine and not choke in the playoffs against a worse team like in '19, '20, and '23.
  12. No this is the '23-'24 thread
  13. Same old Bucks
  14. Yep, this is why you don't expand the postseason in baseball. What a disaster of a divisional series.
  15. Always warms the heart to see the Twins lose in the ALDS. A timeless tradition!
  16. There are many more fans that have it worse in recent years. Seattle, San Diego, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Miami, Mets, White Sox, just to name a few.
  17. And yesterday Taylor hits a rocket with the bases loaded that's caught. A lot of luck in a 3 game series. The current postseason format is a dumb way to end a season.
  18. Agreed, I absolutely hate the new post season system. A division winner should get more than a three game series. They may let way too many teams in the playoffs in hockey and basketball but at least they get a 7 game series.
  19. Also -175 is a pretty heavy favorite in baseball. There's just too much variance in this sport.
  20. Yep, not surprising at all. It's not the first time a famous rich celebrity has had false accusations against him in order to get a settlement. That's why these women need to be thrown in prison.
  21. Would have been fun if all the players could have come out on the field to celebrate the division today as if today was the clincher, it's no fun to do it after a loss.
