  1. Retired 7 in a row. You don't say against this lineup?!
  2. Giving a bad offense free bases! Not a great winning formula
  3. Again just being realistic with expectations. I am 100% certain he is gonna be a positive value pitcher for the Brewers at some point and in some role. Never called him a bum. At the end of the day he is making his debut at 27. That says a lot. I believe Jack Stern was the one saying he was the main get in the Durbin trade. I disagreed at the time and disagree now. Getting Drohan as a throw in was just the cherry on top of a beautiful fleece job. I may be biased though since I have been fascinated by Kyle Harrison since he was first with the Giants.
  4. It is pretty gnarly. *watch them come back lol
  5. I feel like expectations got too high for Drohan after spring training. At the end of the day he was a 27 year old career minor leaguer. A throw in. The real prize of the deal was Kyle Harrison and it is looking like a substantial fleece by Arnold and Co. He probably will still be a solid pen arm for us this year when DL inevitably ends up on the IL.
  6. Well he is making his debut at 27 for a reason. Probably should not expect too much from him
  7. Command issues a plenty this series. Gross how many free bases they have given a crappy offense.
  8. I am so sad that shoulder injury ruined arguably the best overall arm of a catcher in baseball.
  9. I would be open to an international draft IF it gives small markets a leg up or first crack with international talent. It would help the competitive balance of the league as an alternative to a salary cap.
  10. Very true I guess I am stuck on the old school mentality of protecting your guys.
  11. Mitchell is such an interesting case right now. His savant page is hilarious. At the expense of contact he is swinging out of his shoes taking big daddy hacks. The whiff and K rate says that this is not sustainable though. His chase rate is in a good place. He is just swinging and missing a ton in the zone. Just an insanely intriguing profile. Like if Russell Branyan was fast as hell. That player holds value. I'll even admit I was out on Mitchell this year after an ugly ugly spring. If he can cut that K rate to 25% or so he could be a legitimate 25/25 guy with this new bat path. Also has to stay healthy *knocks aggressively on wood.
  12. Not sure you can just ignore how dirty that slide was. We'll see if cooler heads prevail. I know I wouldn't ignore it. You got to protect your guys. But you also need to be smart.
  13. I am never one to want to see a player get hurt, but that slide was clearly malicious. David Hamilton is still trying to establish his career, while Willson Contreras has already been well-compensated for his time. That kind of bush league play is exactly how you end someone's season with a knee injury or worse. It has no place in the game. I want him to wear 99 MPH from Abner to the ribcage. From that post-game interview he's all about sending messages. So now it is time to reply. Here's a thought Willson. If you don't want to get "hit" maybe don't set up directly on top of the plate. What a crybaby.
  14. Never said he wouldn't. I watched every at bat and he did not look comfortable in any of them until yesterday.
  15. Tough night in the boxscore for Made. Something that wont show up is the fact that he barreled up a pitch that damn near bounced to the plate and off it as well. He just pulled it foul. Would have been a no doubt grand slam. Just insane barrel control. Vlad Guerrero -esque.
  16. Wisconsin sports are just an injury ridden hellhole... please not a bad injury to Wild Bill
  17. I get that these Latin reporters are probably saying the truth here, but I can't help but be perplexed by how irresponsible some of their player comps are. De Vries is arguably the best prospect in baseball. Anything the Brewers do in the Latin market I am all in on. These are literal children, but for better or worse this is the way it's done. And boy the Brewers can work this market. Gone are the Melvin days where they didn't sign a single player. I am excited to see the fruits of it down the line. Seems like they are getting in on more high end guys from what these reporters have said.
  18. Appears you have to be connected to home wifi. Which is garbage for guys like me that need to stream most of the games on the go.
  19. Have we figured out why I cannot stream with Spectrum? I’m on the go a ton for work. But It says I need to be connected to home wifi. Never had this issue before but I have a feeling it’s because of pure greed.
  20. I don't think Payne looks at all comfortable in the box. It looks like he is bailing out on every pitch not shifting his momentum towards the pitcher and instead towards the first base line.
  21. Really need to see Made start to make better swing decisions. I am so impressed by the 18 year old's physical ability. Now it is time to marry that with baseball IQ and plate discipline. Who cares about throwing errors. The fact he is showing the range at SS he is showing is what I really care about.
  22. I am not one for commenting on fashion... But my goodness does the powder blue jersey look stupid with gray pants. It is an absurd decision.
