    Last I checked the sky was falling after losing a frustrating game to the Twins. And boy does it seem like they have had a lot of bad batted ball luck this past month lot of positive regression.

    Maybe not much better, but yes I do from a stuff perspective I think the Brewers will unlock May even more and take him to a higher level. Also think the Brewers gave up way less.

    You actually can when it works in the regular season. It is baseball **** happens speaking of small sample sizes what do you think the playoffs are. It is inherently random. Questioning Arnold after he has basically "won" every trade in his tenure is wild to me and I am no sycophant. I just don't know how you can make the conclusion that it doesn't work. Baseball is hard man. As for Frias the swing needs an overhaul. When is the last time the Brewers Player Dev team has had success with that? I will admit I got a little caught in his hype with the national spotlight, but that is a swing that is just not gonna lift the ball on its face, If they can get him to play at his potential good on them. I dont think the Brewers could. He is a very high risk player to even make the big leagues. There is a reason he was shopped around the league. I trust the org at this point and I have been saying his swing wasn't gonna work going back to June.

    Brother take a breath. It is hard to win baseball games. The Brewers have won many. I have serious questions about Frias now was it good value? Probably not considering they are rentals, but his ground ball rate is exponentially high and it is easy to see why with that ugly steep swing. I think the national guys are much higher than anyone in the Brewers org. An org where they tend to know who to deal and when.

    Surprise surprise. I missed this but Roboscout (August 2nd) pegged the top player in the DSL, *not Angeibel Gomez nor Yostin Pena of the yankees, it was Ricki Moneys with a 100 on the Roboscale (0-100) "Moneys has a barrel rate of 29%—the 13th-highest mark amongst all 2,090 minor leaguers with at least 100 at bats. That’s 99th percentile."

    I just can't believe PCA is on this big of a heater. It defies convention. It is incredibly annoying he went from a below average hitter to this basically overnight by shifting closer to the plate. League needs to adjust and give him some chin music and get him uncomfortable. He still has no power to the opposite field. Basically all the damage is pullside.

    My hot take was that Payne should have always been in Frias' spot from an OFP perspective. Is it a stretch to say that is 70 grade raw power? Obviously doesn't translate in game yet. But he hits absolute tanks.

    Thank you for relaying the data! My main concern even going back to the ACL is just how unorthodox and steep the swing is. The young man is handling Low A better than I expected though so credit to him. Do I feel like we got apt value back? No, I still don't but this is an extremely risky profile. It reminds me a little of Ernesto Martinez when he was in the system. The average launch angle tells me there needs to be an overhaul (something the Brewers have frankly failed at numerous times with talented athletes). I feel like this trade will be an all or nothing. Either the front office is gonna look good in a year or two or this will be one that will keep them up at night similar to the White Sox and Tatis. Ragsdale is a tough loss too it is possible we'll look back one day and say "damn he came out of nowhere and was decent in the league for a decade" This team has a knack for trading the right prospects so it will all be a waiting game. IF May can provide 5-6 innings scoreless in the playoffs all will be forgiven. I will toot my own horn and say the org. is making me feel good on my Antunez>Frias call back in June.
