  1. I'm not in the business in doing the Mets any favors. The worse they are the higher the price should go IMO. Any package with the Mets starts with Conforto, Matz, or Rosario.
  2. Houston seems like an obvious trade partner, but does anyone think there will be hesitation to make a deal with Stearns? I say that because recent trade history between both clubs has not been beneficial towards the Astros. Could there be a fear of another fleecing on their end since Stearns knows that system so well?
  3. As much as I like Villar he's without a doubt a below average fielder at SS. I think this is much ado about nothing. Arcia is absolutely a plus plus fielding SS, and will stay there.
  4. Some of the untouchables are questionable, but overall good read!
  5. AAAAND you lost me. You also included possibly the worst "highly regarded" prospect in baseball with Dom Smith. Be right back... I'm gonna go make myself a clorox cocktail.
  6. I think there's some overvaluing of prospects going on in this thread... Not referring to the elite ones like Giolito and Moncada.
  7. Man Jacob Barnes is absolutely nasty! May be knocking on the door as a closer in the near future.
  8. Personally I think they're our best option. I hate hypothetical trades but I've been racking my brain and came up with this. Dodger Receive Jonathan Lucroy Will Smith Brewers Receive Yaz (Not sure of value, but he's having an awful year feel free to omit him) JDL (Crown jewel in this trade) 23 Cody Bellinger (Has plus power potential, a lot of swing and miss though) 20 Walker Buehler (Lottery ticket coming off TJ. Mid rotation type) 21 Yadier Alvarez (Another lottery ticket but big time arm... Yuuuge potential) 19 Mitch Hansen (Last lottery ticket, has a very smooth swing, 2nd rounder last year) 20 A lot of risk is involved in this deal, but the value seems to be there... Side note hypothetically say someone in the org. is in love with Gavin Lux, is he a POSSIBLE PTBNL? (not in this deal) Assuming he signs, how would that work with the Trea Turner rule and everything?
  9. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/06/cafardos-latest-brewers-teheran-kemp-hudson.html Now this I do not buy one bit. Executives from Detroit and Seattle have said Stearns' was nothing but reasonable when it came to negotiations, and publicly praised DS after the trades of both Lind and K-Rod. It's probably someone trying to gain leverage in any possible way to swing a deal in their favor. Also they're probably upset they didn't take advantage of our previous regime. Usually I take whatever "unknown executives" say with a grain of salt, but this irked me. Nothing in his history shows that he's unrealistic with his expectations or player values. Just because DS has a firm asking price doesn't mean he is being unrealistic. There's a big difference between trading an oft-injured platoon first baseman/end of his career closer and the top player in the game at his position who's youngish and cheap with team control. I think there is a lot of truth to that rumor. Stearns should be asking for the moon, unfortunately, I just don't see any team with the combination of need and prospects to get that deal done right now. I'm not doubting the rumor or the report I'm more so refuting that Stearns is being unrealistic with his demands. Based on his previous deals he seems to have a great grasp on the value of a player.

  11. I know some Brewers fans like this deal, Im not one I thought Wheeler was overrated, I know he's coming back from TJ surgery but eh.. TDA is struggling with constant injuries... And the prospect is a 1st basemen who doesn't hit for much power meh This deal is just a whole lot of mehhhhhhhhh to me.. One chronically injured guy. One guy who we don't even know is the same pitcher since TJ, and a guy that's so unbelievably over rated. I'd honestly would take Denson over him. It's not even meh for me it's awful.
  12. Really like Thomas! Hopefully we can steal him from SDSU.
  13. I think you cracked the method to Montgomery's madness...
  14. Wow 5'9, and he throws that hard. Very impressive athlete. Raise some hell Danny!
  15. Mark Derosa proposed this dandy deal Mets Receive Jonathan Lucroy Chris Carter Will Smith Brewers Receive Wheeler TDA Dominic Smith (AKA most over rated prospect in baseball. He's seriously awful and lucky to be Loney 2.0) Hahaha I'd rather drink bleach...
  16. Weird question... Is he mormon? I say that since he committed to BYU and they're notoriously hard signs. Especially if he has a mission coming up.
  17. From a pure stuff standpoint Webb reminds me alot of Blazek
  18. Nothing irrational about that especially after Kyle Lohse.
  19. I can't find it on their MLB page - link please? Today is over but this should get you up to speed. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2645306-mlb-draft-2016-live-round-1-2-results-and-reaction I should really refresh more often...
  20. Lol haven't seen that movie in ages. Great reference! I guess I was rolling with my earlier posts.
  21. You could say it's pretty cool... It's late give me a break.
  22. Some of these guys act like they're the second coming of Theo Epstein... Trust the executives and let the kid play before making rash judgements. ....isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Not sure I follow you here...
  23. Great talent, but an 80 grade [expletive deleted by moderator]. IMO his antics could wear thin on our ball club. Really wouldn't give up anything of value for him. C prospects or a decent bullpen arm?
  24. Really liking the draft so far IF this is how their board is falling! Can't really complain unless they're trying to accelerate the rebuild with these college bats. That would piss me off.
