  1. It's at 9 against the Dodgers, Cardinals, and Rockies (given the Dodgers close out their 8 run lead). With that math, if we win 8 of our last 11 we're in! (guaranteed at least 1 lower with 2 more games with COL and LA playing each other) https://www.playoffmagic.com/mlb/
  2. Has anyone in MLB history made their debut in the playoffs?
  3. MVP - Cain Cy Young - Hader MIP - Wade Miley, basing this strictly off what everyone did last year compared to this year.
  4. Are we even one of them? Doesn’t feel like there is room for him. I’ll just take Villar back to fill in for Shaw. Ill take Dozier over one of Saladino, Perez, and Villar.
  5. If its C, we have to see what Burnes can give us as a starter. Chacin is the only guy im comfortable with in the playoffs. Im ok with a Corey Ray centered package for Gibson.
  6. If he was a TOR he'd be WAY more expensive. I like this much better than the other options referenced. He's had some bad luck this year, HR/FB is high and BABIP is higher than normal this season. Give him our defense and facing the pitcher every 9th batter and i think he can post at worst a sub 4 ERA. Look what our pitching coach has done for guys Chase Anderson and Junior Guerra. We should be targetting guys like him if he doesnr cost us a top 5 org prospect.
  7. I wonder with the Maverick trade if he takes his spot in Colorado.
  8. So Gatewood is the only one left of those top 3 in '14. I think grabbing "athletes" in that draft turned out to be a very good call. Kodi was the # 12 pick but if i remember right got underslotted pretty significantly so we could grab Jacob and Monte. Overall netted us 1.5 years of an "elite" reliever (i'd classify his '18 numbers as elite) and a significant piece to the Yelich trade. I think Jake probably has about similar value as Kodi but we'll see I guess.

  10. I didn't say he wasn't available, I said his value is higher than a second piece to a rental trade IMO.
  11. Imagine this for a possible wild card game: Hader 1st-3rd, Jeffress 4th-5th, Burnes 6th-7th, Soria 8th, Knebel 9th... It won't happen but that might be our best shot.
  12. Wow, really hate giving up Kodi for what is essentially a rental or very expensive reliever next season.
  13. Really would hate trading Stokes for a rental Are you serious - You wouldn't give up our #21 rank prospect, who at best, will be a 5th OF in the big leagues. Well that's just not fair to Stokes, who's 22 in AA and over the last ~3 years putting up a wRC+ of 120+ the last with an average (and very consistent) slash of .250/.340/.440. He's a top 10 prospect in a lot of other systems, and is definitely not a "5th OF ceiling" player. I know Corey Ray is stealing the show, but 15 HRs in AA is nothing to scoff at and he should NOT be a throw in to a rental trade.
  14. Just curious because I'm on the opposite side...why don't you want Happ? What starter do you think we should target and can acquire for a reasonable price? (Top 10 org is too much for Happ imo, but i think he makes us better)
  15. Really would hate trading Stokes for a rental
  16. I believe this is a blessing in disguise boys and girls. Im probably in the minority but i think SS is fine with Salad man. Yeah he'll come back down to earth but his defense will make him a positive player. MM isnt as valuable playing SS and i dont want a black hole of defense at short. Much less giving the equivalent of what is being reported. What we really need is a real catcher and a real second baseman to play everyday. The revolving door isnt allowing these guys to find any consistency leading to the black holes that theyve been. At this point trading for Realmuto should be our main priority. Hiura, Woodruff, Nottingham, Ray (and no hes not a throw in, just he'll cost a lot) to get our elite catcher with control. Then grab Dozier (who we could probably sign to a 3/45 or something) or an above average hitting 2B for a package of ~3 non top 15 guys. Cain Yelich Aguilar Shaw Realmuto Thames Dozier Salad Pitcher That looks just as good to me and we'd have it for a few years.
  17. Wheres HH19 when you need em
  18. I think Mark is more than willing to give the man enough $ to have him stick around.
  19. Sooo is Kestons thumb still hurting him?
  20. Id make him play 3B and give em Shaw Arcia and either Peralta or Burnes
  21. Holy Marcos Diplan!
  22. If the brewers get manny, this gonna be a fun summer. Cain Yelich Machado Aguilar/Thames Shaw Braun/Thames Nottingham Villar Best offense in the NL?
