  1. Hader is now in year 3(?) of being one of if not the best RP in baseball and we still see ridiculous lowball trade proposals for him from national pundits. I can't recall any other player get nearly the treatment he does.
  2. Well, hope I get those tickets refunded sooner rather than later
  3. Yeah this is a bit ridiculous. When we made our NLCS run a few years back it was very easy for me to get single game postseason tickets to literally every single game. Now it appears they've all been bought up besides these restaurant table seats? Edit - Looks like they had a ton added for 10AM this morning
  4. Jesus christ what a idiot
  5. Lance Brozdowski @LanceBroz Is Aaron Ashby just the starter/more-velo version of good Zach Britton? Worm-killing SK. SL is easy plus, same break profile as Brit's. Ashby has a plus CH too? Only ~10% of CHs in baseball with more downward break. It's kind of unfair what the Brewers are doing. Somebody gave me that Britton comp, I don't remember who, but it popped up when I was just looking through comparable repertoires. Ashby was K'ing 36% of hitters in AAA. He's a rare GB + whiffs SP. I can't name many (any?) young SPs I have more confidence in popping next year.
  6. https://www.mlb.com/news/top-100-prospects-updated-midseason-rankings?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage Mitchell #56?????????????? Frelick #97
  7. Someone needs to take this mans phone away from him
  8. Little CF pick up wouldnt be the worst you know...
  9. Was really hoping Cubs wouldnt burn it all down and do a FULL rebuild. Looks like they are. Too bad, think the guys they get back will allow them to compete again in relatively short order
  10. Mets making a move for Baez. Cubs really burning it all down it seems. Too bad, was hoping they wouldnt go all in
  11. Cubs getting Nick Madrigal and Codi Heuer from the White Sox. That is a very steep price indeed. That is...a bummer
  12. Big smile on my face right now
  13. Concur with many posts on this page - Resounding "hell yes" to bringing in Gallo and a hard "no thank you" to Story
  14. The Brewers swept the Padres in San Diego without Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain and Kolten Wong. Three total runs allowed in three games. No runs against the Brewers bullpen.
  15. MItchell fits the Brewers mold so well with prior draft picks (up the middle, toolsy, fallen pick).
  16. I love Yelich, but am a bit concerned (if it is tacked on at the end of his current control) if we have to end up paying ~30mil/yr to a 35+ y.o. Yelich. That being said - happy to keep the guy here through the prime of his career. Hes a fantastic baseball player and human being.
  17. Yes, without a doubt. Not even counting the fact that they got Price off the books.
  18. It says he has developed into one of the most complete players in the 2019 international signing class. Refers to him as a high-contact hitter with at least solid-average raw power which they project should grow into a plus tool soon. Also acknowledges that he is at least a plus runner who accelerates quickly in both the outfield and on the basepaths. The article includes a little over 1-minute video of Hedbert Perez hitting (both in-game and BP) as well as throwing from RF to 3B and home (both practice and in-game). He has quickly become one of the projected stars from this past year’s signing class. Appreciate it. I'm salivating.
  19. There has been a few more BA articles on Hedbert Perez including (https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/16-potential-powerspeed-threats-from-the-2019-international-prospect-class/). Anyone got a summary? Would love to hear more about this guy - sounds like he is very highly regarded
  20. I've had to explain exactly this to a few of my friends who called me stupid for not wanting to extend Yelich. Also, count me out on wanting an Arenado playing outside of Colorado with that contract.
  21. I would be open to a trade like this, as I do think that overall it makes our team better, with guys that are major league ready, highly regarded prospects. That being said, I'd like to see us spend some more money on FA RP if this were to happen. Perhaps Dyson or Kintzler
