  1. Actually you don't even need chrome cast, that just puts it on the big screen tv. It's free online at the Reddit site. Have an Adblock though.
  2. You can, with chrome cast and at Reddit/mlb streams website. Watching the LA broadcast here. Saves me a ton of $$.
  3. Stewart looked real good. Where are our A ball pitchers?
  4. Guy was in single A ball earlier this year. Brewer hitters should be licking their chops.
  5. Jeez, Dodgers playing tee ball with Anderson's fastball this inning.
  6. The science is mixed on which slide is better. "One study did find that headfirst sliders reached second base .02 seconds faster. Back-of-the-napkin calculations show that a runner traveling at 15 miles per hour would get an extra five inches from that .02 seconds — and in the legendary words of Branch Rickey, baseball is a game of inches."
  7. We might want to start promoting the head first slide into home, now that catchers can't block the plate. It will allow the base runner to tag the plate immediately as they break the base plane. Im worried guys will start injuring their ankle/leg as they try to keep their front foot down. Plus it's not very efficient for a home plate slide.
  8. Obviously Turner had a game plan of looking for off speed all game. That first Davies cutter played like a juicy, weak slider down the pipe. He was way behind on the fast ball all game.
  9. I didn't have a problem with loading the bases and 5 infielders. I agree that Counsell should have let Davies keep going last night.
  10. Carter has a lot of weight hitting the ground, didn't get glide on that slide. Davies pitching like a stud. Greg Maddux-esque.
  11. I know there are guys on here a lot better at understanding the advanced statistics than me. But how accurate are those with all the shifting and shading we are doing? By my eye he seems to move well with a strong arm. I understand statistics have gotten a lot more accurate but I can't help but question them.
  12. Don't get all the defensive "hate" on Villar. This guy the best rated defensive infielder coming up in the Astros system.
  13. Very Interesting. Arcia is an elite SS. There would be no reason to put him at 2b unless they have some reason to play him there in Milwaukee at some point. Versatility means nothing when you have a SS as good as him. If he were to come up, he would play SS and Villar would move to 3B or 2B, not Arcia. But that does beg the question, why trade Luc for the only position we have covered in the system? Versatility is nice for all infielders when you want to give guys days off to stay fresh or matchups.
  14. I would normally agree but the player hats are just so much superior to regular hats. Its not even close, better fit, feel, look. I've only bought two at that price but they are by far my favorite hats.
  15. Ideally, I would like them to keep playing competitive ball until late July, then put Capuano, Boyer, and Peralta in the starting rotation to really tank this baby.
  16. Guerra reminds me of Hideo Nomo on the tail end of his career with the fastball-forkball combo. I don't think it will last and I don't think he has much value. He's been a nice stop gap though.
  17. Where's Rymer Liriano when you need him? Niewenwhiff is really struggling at the plate man.
  18. Thought I saw that 44/52 number somewhere. 44/44 would have been awesome though.
  19. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=corey-ray-1 I was going off this article (not counting post season play maybe??) "His speed also remains a precious asset, allowing him to swipe 39 bags in 46 attempts."
  20. Pretty sure it wasn't 44/44, think it was something like 44/52 SB.
  21. Numbers I found for this season is (let me know if it's wrong) Gennett: .8 WAR Villar: 2.2 WAR
  22. Full line from Team USA Player avg slug ob% g ab r h 2b 3b hr rbi bb so sb cs e Corey Ray . 3 5 5 . 5 4 8 . 4 2 3 17 62 12 22 7 1 1 5 7 11 10 1 0
  23. Thanks! Do you know how many at-bats by chance? 62 ab's
