  1. That kind of inning happens to every team; does that mean we aren't going to have a champion this year?
  2. Karma, on Ogden and Van Buren, has shuttles on Fridays and Saturdays; it is the old John Ernst Cafe. http://www.karmamilwaukee.com/ Click on the Events and Specials link at the bottom of the page.
  3. This team has been really fun to watch this year. I never have a feeling that they are out of the game.
  4. The Brewers have hit a two-run homer, a three-run homer and a grand slam. If they could have hit a solo shot, they would have hit for the home run cycle (I just made that term up).
  5. I'm wondering when the discussion of Hart to leadoff will start. His line coming into tonight of .354 /.486 /.840 is better than Weeks' .313 /.455 /.768. His approach is much better so far this year and he has been drawing a lot of walks. I've always thought that Weeks would benefit from moving down to the 6 or 7 spot where he could just rely on his natural abilities rather than thinking so much at the plate. I would probably move Cam to the 2 spot for now, at least until until he cools down.
  6. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/43321937.html The Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros this season offer all of their games on TV through their local broadcast partners. All Cubs games are in HD. The following is a list of all the 2009 games and the ones in HD produced by the local TV partners of the teams in the National League Central. It does not include the national telecasts those teams were selected for by Fox Sports or ESPN, which offer those games in HD. Chicago 153 games, 153 HD on Comcast SportsNet, WGN and WCIU. Houston 156 games, 126 HD on Fox Sports Houston and KTXH. St. Louis 151 games, 100 HD on Fox Sports Midwest and KSDK. Cincinnati 145 games, 100 HD on Fox Sports Ohio. Milwaukee 136 games, 95 HD on Fox Sports Wisconsin. Pittsburgh 125 games, 75 HD on Fox Sports Pittsburgh. The number of games produced by a team's local television partner is negotiated with the team and agreed to in contract. Other than the Cubs and to a lesser extent Houston, we are pretty much in the same boat as the rest of the division. It does make you wonder why all of the games against the Cubs aren't in HD; wouldn't it make sense to share the video feed?
  7. Now that we got out of that jam, I feel like we are going to win this. I'm predicting two runs this inning. Edit: Nice start Corey!
  8. Are you kidding me? Fitting if we lose on a bloop single right now... it's been that kind of night.
  9. I would have walked Tejada. Edit: Shows what I know.
  10. YES!!! PRINCE!!! That thing never got more than 10 feet off the ground.
  11. Braun is going to come through with two strikes again. Edit: Nice baserunning Corey. How about it Prince?
  12. But with a team that has been struggling on the mound and, more specifically, with the bullpen; isn't keeping a starter in that is pitching well and letting him hit for himself a better bet than a pinch hitter and turning it over to this bullpen right now*? If we were tied or losing, I would agree; but with the lead, it seems like we had a better chance to keep them from scoring with the status quo than the slight added probability of adding a run with the PH and hoping to hold them for three innings with the pen. *I'm not saying that this bullpen can't be successful long term but it hasn't been pitching well of late.
  13. I loved the way he used Coffey. I know that I am in the minority but I agreed with bringing Suppan back for the 7th. There seem to be many who hated the Suppan move and loved the Coffey move. The question I have is what is the difference between the two? Can someone explain the difference between the two scenarios and why one was ripped and the other applauded?
