According to Tom Haudricourt/Gord Ash, he does not have an option left. Link UPDATE: I was just informed by Brewers assistant general manager Gord Ash that Boggs does not have a minor league option remaining. Thus, he either makes the Brewers' roster in the spring or would have to go through waivers to return to the minors. -

I know this is a few days late but I was out at a bar for the opener last Wednesday in New Orleans and I couldn't hear the sound. Why did the Bucks wear their white uniforms on the road? Not a big deal, just curious.

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but does that mean there is an actual agreement? Seems like Melvin was very specific and didn't flat out deny that talks were going on or that they had progressed past the "principle" stage.

Sveum just signed a 2 year contract to stay on as hitting coach and we already have a pitching coach under contract for one more year. I would think that the new manager would want to bring in their own guys, or at least have input in the decision. I have a hard time believing a "big time" manager or even a manager with experience would be "okay" with this. Is this how ML teams typically do this? Does this mean that we will end up with a first time manager; someone just happy to get a managerial job? Am I reading too much into this?

After thinking about it, I guess I'd be surprised if nobody has called him that, it is pretty obvious.

That catch by Cain was sweet. I wonder if anyone's ever called him sugar. Lorenzo "Sugar" Cain has an old school feel to it.

I keep seeing these types of comments from many posters, and I'm not sure I see any evidence of it. Who are all of the young/unproven players he hasn't played? He's played Escobar full time this year as well as Lucroy and Gomez/Cain among the position players... and Axford, Loe and Braddock in high leverage situations in the pen. I think all of them qualify as young and/or unproven. The only young/unproven player that he didn't play was Gamel... and there is evidence that Gamel either hasn't had the best attitude, hasn't been the hardest worker or maybe has a sense of entitlement. The irony is the guy he played in his place, McGehee, fit into the unproven description, but nobody ever mentions that. Maybe he didn't play Gamel for reasons other than he is young and unproven.

Macha can't win... he pulls Bush and Hoffman gets beat by a couple of balls that were fair by 6 inches. If he keeps Bush out there and Bush gives up runs, everybody says that "everyone knows that Bush gets lit up in the 7th, why would you send him back out there."
