    Sogard totally screwed up on that DP. He has to stop and make the 2b throw to 2nd or run him down for the tag, allowing Thames to reach. If the nerd who can’t hit, can’t play smart, he’s even less useless, if that’s even possible.

    Wow, you should probably call the Brewers and tell them, I’m sure their specialists must have missed that podcast. They probably would consider firing their medical staff and hiring the pundit.

    It’s because a soft ground ball down the 3rd base line may turn into a cheap single and a hard ground ball down the line may turn into a double. I think it’s more frustrating when you see a weak ground ball off the bat, an assumed out, turn into a hit but it’s not as damaging to the team.

    They aren’t as sexy as some of the other names thrown out there and some here will likely be disappointed that he didn’t “go for it” but I think these are exactly the types of players Stearns will target as the deadline approaches.

    Going to the game today, only the 3rd one this year which is really low for me. Guerra is/was the starter for all three. The first two, Jeffress got the win. I’d be ok if Guerra gets the win this time.

    It took me less than 2 minutes to find John Sickles report from March 2018: 1) Keston Hiura, 2B, Grade B+/A-: Age 21, first round pick in 2017 from University of California-Irvine, ninth overall, hit .371/.422/.611 in 167 at-bats in pro debut between rookie ball and Midwest League, 13 walks, 37 strikeouts; excellent hitter who is close to major league-ready, plenty of bat speed, projected to hit for both power and average; main question is defense, as he was limited to DH by an elbow injury for most of the season, got into just three games at second base in pro ball; may be destined for left field but even so his bat will play anywhere; ETA late 2019 https://www.minorleagueball.com/2018/2/21/17038344/milwaukee-brewers-top-20-prospects-for-2018 Second base is not as difficult to play as 3B or SS. So the only way LF is an option is if you are butcher. He said it’s a question because of injury, he’s played defense just 3 times in over a year, so it’s impossible to say how good or bad he will be. Calling him a butcher based on that is a huge stretch.

    They said on the radio that the cubs have only been shut out in back to back games once in their history and the first time on back to back days. Wow... for how bad they were for a century lol, I would have never guessed that.
