  1. If we are relying on Cravy, Wang or Jungman we are going to be disappointed. One pitcher to split Barnes and Knebel would help the pen situation immensely. Cordell for Neshek? Is Coulter for Neshek not enough?
  2. List a pitcher and a possible trade with an explanation: Kelvin Herrera, KC: Brett Phillips and Luis Ortiz. The Brewers have Ryan Cordell, Lewis Brinson and a host of other outfielders with potential. Kansas City desperately needs outfield help. To get something you have to give something (Ortiz). Herrera would have to set up Knebel. Barnes gets the 7th, paired with Drake or Hader to face left handed batters.
  3. Knebel and Garza after he wins five straight thru the All Star break. What, this isn't the optimism thread.
  4. Perez needs to sub at every position in order to get players days off.
  5. Brinson's call up is going to get Broxton's bat going. The same holds true for the Villar/Sogard platoon. Thames should have to fight Aguilar for time. Competition between players creates results.
  6. Sogard and Brinson are not the two worst hitters. It is called a soft platoon. Better than Thames hitting second. If anything, Thames needs to see less time.
  7. I know Milwaukee is really short handed but the inconsistent batting order does not seem to help. Thames needs to be moved down with out a doubt. Braun and Shaw's bats are really, really missed. Hoping to make things rough on St. Louis! Villar/Sogard 2B Brinson/Broxton CF Perez/Braun LF Shaw 3B Santana RF Thames/Aguilar 1B Piña/Bandy C Arcia SS Pitcher
  8. DFA Wily Peralta, tell Feliz he is going on the DL, and send Scahill to AAA. Bring up Wang, Wilkerson and Woodruff to start Tuesday. The bullpen is atrocious and so is Broxton.
  9. Brinson for Broxton? It is pretty obvious that Aguilar is inadequate at 1B and Thames is very poor in the outfield. DFA Nick Franklin and give Garett Cooper a shot? DFA Wily Peralta and give Cravy a role? Hoping Hader gets Garza's next start but my guess is it will be Peralta's last chance. At least they are doing something; I like it!
  10. When during up the pen and Peralta is mentioned, I hope they mean Freddie and not Wily.
  11. Barnes and Knebel have been decent but over used in situations that they haven't had time to grow into. The Brewers are at a point where changes need to be made. Peralta, Feliz and Drake could be upgraded with Wang, Blazek, Fereri, Dyson, Suter...... Just do something, even if a new face gives similar results. Peralta for Dyson, DFA/option Feliz for Suter or Wang..... Just do something!
  12. Sam Dyson for Wily Peralta even up. You take our junk and we will take yours. DFA Oliver Drake and give Suter or Wang a situational lefty role. Dyson, Barnes, Knebel would be a decent way to end games. Torres goues to long relief. Ernesto Fieri is available if a Dyson deal could not get done.
  13. Sam Dyson for Wily Peralta even up. You take our junk and we will take yours. DFA Oliver Drake and give Suter or Want a situational lefty role. Dyson, Barnes, Knebel would be a decent way to end games. Torres goues to long relief. Ernesto Fieri is available if a Dyson deal could not get done.
  14. Any AAA outfielder other than Brinson for Hand or Doolittle. Throw in Coulter or a low level arm with upside. First to the table might get fair trade value.
  15. Chuckie Carr and Gus Polidor
  16. Maybe they should DFA Peralta and Drake, giving Espino, Wilkerson, Archer or Wang a shot?
  17. Wily Peralta and Ryan Cordell or Maverick Phillips for Danny Salazar even up. Salazar may be suffering from being over used in 2016.
  18. DFA Nick Franklin. No since keeping him if you have Sogard.
  19. By mudseason, Thames might have the worst contract on the team. Everyone saw him and made an adjustment. Hopefully he can adjust. He has been brutal offensively.
  20. Brinson, Brinson, Brinson.
  21. Guerra needs a long rehab. He was not effective this spring and needs to stretch out before being inserted back in the rotation. Espino up, Marinez or out, Peralta to the bullpen pen. When Guerra is ready, Nelson to AAA if he is still struggling or Espino if he is not good. Burgos, Woodruff, Wang and Archer should all be options if the pitching does not improve soon.
  22. Sabathia for Peralta even up but the teams pay their original players salary. A change in scenery and league might help both pitchers who are on thin ice. At worst, Sabathia goes to the bullpen for tough left handed hitters. Both pitchers are then free agents at the end of the year.
  23. Bringing, Brinson, Brinson....... but it will be Phillips.
  24. Poor base running, low batting average and average defense. Time for a flip flop in the batting order with Keon Broxton? With Thames after Villar, he is seeing aot of good pitches. Trying too hard or one year wonder? He should have took his pay day instead of betting on himself.
