  1. The Brewers have the pitching edge in this series. The Cards only have one really good pitcher, and he'll only throw twice--and not until Game 3. That plus homefield should give them the edge, but for some reason the fact that it's the Cardinals gives me a horrible feeling. I did not want this series at all. Oh well.
  2. Hahaha A-Rod. Love seeing the Yankees loose. Never gets old.
  3. I'm already nervous. I can't imagine how much worse I'd be for Game 5. Saunders is not good. Worst strikeout rate of any qualified starter in the NL. Braun should crush him. I suppose it's too greedy to ask for a blowout game for the sake of my mental well-being.
  4. Are you judging from the actual ball or the fox trax thing? I think the tracking thing makes them look worse than they actually are. Not judging based solely on the pitch tracker. Umps always call the ball an inch or two off the corner as a strike, and it drives me nuts. West isn't giving anything off the corner, which is the way it should be.
  5. This guy averages 5.8 k/9. He has 16 ks in 20 innings against the Brewers.
  6. Everyone's talking about a small strike zone. I think it's been a very good zone. All the umps call balls an inch or two off a plate strikes when they're really balls. West isn't calling balls off the plate strikes--just how he's supposed to.
  7. Let's all overreact tonight. It's like when Prince makes an error and people are like, "I can't WAIT until he's DH'ing somewhere in the American League!" I've been saying that in July when Marcum was lights out. He's a finesse pitcher who relies entirely on spotting his pitches. If his control starts wavering in the next couple years, yes, he's potentially the next Suppan. Verlander's a power pitcher who relies entirely on his great stuff. If his velocity starts dipping in the next couple years, he's potentially A.J. Burnett. See, I can do it too!
  8. Dish has lost its signal twice in the last two minutes. I'm about to lose it.

  10. Marcum needs to stop acting like Randy Wolf and pitch. Those pitches he's complaining about are balls.
  11. Don't know what these announcers are saying. That was clearly low.
  12. The long ABs by Arizona pitchers in this serious is getting annoying.
