  1. Excited to see Green starting. Immediately flatlined when I saw Kotsay is starting.
  2. May 6, 2009: 1 inning, 9 earned runs April 18, 2008: 5.2 innings, 4 earned runs September 21, 2008: 6 innings, 5 earned runs He's pitched pretty well overall against the Brewers, but it's not like they haven't gotten to him at times in the past. It certainly shouldn't shock anyone to see the Brewers rough him up a bit tonight.
  3. There are 12 games left. 12 games ago they were on top of the world. There's plenty of time for them to start playing better heading in to the playoffs. Even if they aren't playing great when the playoffs start, that doesn't even necessarily mean anything either.
  4. Ok... Well that's a huge if. That's like saying 99.8% will be a distant memory if they sweep the road trip, because it will be 100.
  5. Nope. Morgan cannot hit lefties, and he has a career's worth of numbers to prove it. Now if you said McGehee or Betancourt against righties, then you're talking.
  6. Long way to go before it's even 90%. It was 99.8 entering the day, so it might be like 98 tomorrow. I'm not at all worried about missing the playoffs. I'm plenty worried that the DBacks will pass them up. Still, not a huge deal in the grand scheme. While you'd rather not play them first, it's likely they'd have to beat the Phillies anyway. It's easier when you have to beat them three times instead of four.
  7. I guess the explanation is that it's a players poll. Prince has been chill for the last few years, so I'm sure this is based more off his first three or four seasons.
  8. The ball's hit on the left-hand side of second base, and Hairston gets the ball over Betancourt.
  9. Is there some matchup advantage or are you just saying that because K-Rod gave up a few baserunners? I just have more confidence in Axford. It was the biggest AB of the game--they should have their best pitcher in the game. Teams use their closers in the 8th all the time to get an extra out or two. Macha used Axford multiple innings regularly last year, but Roenicke refuses to do it.
  10. Another reason to dislike Roenicke: he won't bring in Axford to face Howard if Pence walks here.
  11. Bad feeling here. My dislike for K-Rod is probably unwarranted though...

  13. Oh ok... I didn't see it. Still, swing away Morgan. You're a good hitter.
  14. I am so tired of this manager making poor decision after poor decision. Enough with the freaking sac bunts in the first inning already.
