  1. Tellez needs to play everyday until the deadline to see if he can play and if he struggles we need another bat.
  2. Its 100% on the owner signing him without seeing him perform after the injury.
  3. Its pretty hard to sustain offense when you essentially have 3 pitchers hitting every night in the 7-9 spots.
  4. I look forward to eating crow and being wrong but how can anyone take these projections seriously that would have Rowdy with an OPS over .800.
  5. The batting average is extremely high in his favor. And as you'll note in nearly EVERY transaction thread, Stearns DOES NOT have the approval of the poster I was responding to. Stearns does have my approval overall but I question moves when they are made. Only time will tell if this was a good acquisition but I am underwhelmed and think we need a bigger offensive upgrade.
  6. If they had more electric stuff back when they were in college, how come they lasted until the 4th round? The answer is that they didn't have more electric stuff - some good pro pitching coaches made some adjustments with them that made their stuff more electric. My post was in response to a comment that Wicks didn't have upside; my analogy was that Burnes and Bieber weren't thought to have much upside coming out of college, and that some adjustments and development brought out that upside. If Wicks didn't have some upside, he'd be talked about as a 4th round pick. Burnes was actually projected to go much higher.
  7. I’ll go on record predicting peak Urias is a 25 home run per season hitter. If true that deal might actually turn out to be a good one for the Brewers.
  8. That definition seems like it could fit 95% of relievers. They’re all going to blow up at some point. Sure but he walks the tightrope seemingly everytime he pitches. How can anyone be confident in this guy.
  9. Boxberger and Suter both have to be moved down and Cousins, Sanchez, and Strickland need to be given the big innings.
  10. If that turns out to be the case score another one for Stearns but I will believe it when I see it.
  11. This just feels like that Pittsburgh series before the break where we lost all 5 games. Hopefully we can at least split the last 4 games before the break and go into the second half of the season with a solid lead.
  12. Suter should not be more than the 5th or 6th option in the bullpen and probably the last guy you want pitching extra innings with the runner on second. Its fine to like Counsell and I do but some of his decisions make no sense with this being one.
  13. Hopefully Telez proves me wrong but all I see is another first baseman that will add little to nothing to our lineup that is clearly not good enough to compete with the upper echelon teams in the league. As for both him and Vogelbach being on the roster at the same time I just don't see a GM that values versatility over almost all else keeping two out of shape first basemen with no defensive value at all.
  14. Ray, Medieros and I'm pretty sure Jungmann were definitely mocked to the Brewers and the analysis of who the team was interested in has usually been spot on.
  15. Not really clones. From what it sounds like, Tellez has a low strikeout rate. I think there's a good chance they they both are on the team next year. Vogelbach DH/1b, Tellez DH/1b, Hiura 1b/DH/utility OF/2b I would bet big money that there is no way both are on the roster next season and it wouldn't surprise me if neither one is. Tellez probably will be given a long leash because we traded assets for him but I'm not expecting much if anything from him. This first base situation is atrocious for a contending team.
  16. Was he ...aware that a runner was starting on 2nd? Bad decision, worse explanation. Counsell has gone from innovative to cookie cutter managing.
