    I'll admit again that I have the voodoo dolls.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif This may open up the closer job for Dempster, unless my thoughts are old already. I haven't been following the cubs (yes, small letters), but I've been doing doll burnin' around the house. I have a new phrase that rhymes with "Die Yuppie Scum". You guessed it..."Die cubbie Scum".

    all I have is MLB.com's scoreboard showing Arizona scoring one run in the bottom of the 7th. The Brewers scored three more in the top of the 8th and the D-Backs going scoreless in the bottom of the 8th. In the top of the 9th it's the Brewers 10, and the Diamondbacks 9...and now to take you the rest of the way...heeeere's Bob Uecker.

    Maybe Helms made an unbelievable athletic play...say an unassisted triple play that stunned all of Brewerfan land, which led to Ned Yost forgetting all about Branyan's big day at the plate and calling the 3B battle over...he was just looking for ONE good defense play to justify making the battle for position over and it took him three weeks of spring training to do so. I think we're all waiting for Russ's concession speech...stay tuned to Brewerfan.net for the next news flash as it happens...and now, back to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress....

    Take me out to the blood bank, take me out of the rotation! Buy me some pitchers with consistency, I don't care if they've got lepracy. So let's shoot another 4A player, if they don't cry it's a shame...for it's one, two, three cuts your out in spring tray-ning!!! Hey!!! Just made that up guys...Loopee, I'm getting the feeling that we think a bunch alike...and, you get a writing credit for it. Seriously now folks, I can't believe I'm coming to Victor Santos' defense, but I am. For those who are bashing him, please bear in mind that he's REAL rusty right now. Fatigue and blisters from July(?) on and not pitching winter ball for the first time in who knows how long is a lot change for a guy. I don't care if you're making pizzas for a living, if you haven't done it the way you want to for a while and take time off it's gonna take a while to get the feel back. I tend to agree with those who mentioned that he more than likely is throwing #1 as much as possible in an effort to get comfortable. That's why it really upsets me so when people say after one or two outings that this guy or that guy is a washout or is the 2nd coming. Heck, I think most of y'all and I'd be able to hit consistently off Santos right now for that reason. It's going to be mid-March at the earliest before these guys stretch their arms out. Give 'em a break.

    Geez man...some of you guys need some fresh air...me included. Way too many of us are posting opinions about what a player is going to do after one or two games (for pitchers) and 5-7 games for hitters. I've been trying to be patient for the last couple days, but I can't take it anymore!!! Experienced posters and greenhorns alike, please take note...stop judging players right now. Wait until at least tomorrow, so the sample size will grow that much bigger. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif There, I've said it...and now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

    I'm getting the feeling that we've been duped and teased. We were told that all spring broadcasts would be free, but I wonder if they didn't tell us that if you purchase the regular season, the remaining games are free.     Ralph: I've been wondering the same thing too. Maybe a couple of the wild arms can be "controlled" with the tutelage of Maddux and Castro and will stick around long enough to convert to more prospects again. I hope they play plenty of split squad and B games too. We're gonna need as many opportunities as reasonable to figure out who's gonna round out the pitching staff.
