  1. True! Spurling is my first candidate to get sent down whenever that happens.
  2. If you guys have never seen Styx perform live before, you're missing out. My band, Sonic Circus was fortunate enough to play before REO Speedwagon and Styx near ******on last summer. I'm not biased when I say this but Styx puts on an absolutely incredible show! Hey, we're playing July 7th at Summerfest too...just announced. We've been on the Classic Rock stage the last couple years and will be again this year. I think it's a 5pm slot. Once I get details of the headliner and time slot I'll let you know.
  3. Well, it is the Royals... It's a combination of opportunity and more experience. He's getting regular use, which is what he needs to continue development. His lack of consistent use in Milwaukee compromised his chances of success. I hope he does well in KC, just as long as he doesn't when the teams face each other in interleague play.
  4. So, let me get this straight, the original poster wants to keep Turnbow then if his control doesn't return? Help me understand the logic.
  5. Eveland still looks 30+ pounds overweight in that picture. Good luck with stamina. As far as Krynzel is concerned, he's said what people have wanted to hear before. They were both moved because they were too head strong. It happens. I do wish them well however.
  6. I too like the idea of Z-Jack as a one-time through the lineup type for a year or two to establish himself...brilliant! I like him better as a roster option than I do Hendrickson (righty).
  7. Appleton isn't complaining about the move from the middle of town to right on the main drag. I loved the old park but the new facility is more family friendly with side attractions and whatnot. Edit: Fixed EZBoard's issue with Appleton
  8. I'm scratching my head too about the release of both guys. I wonder if we'll ever know what the reasonings were.
  9. Nice first post! I don't understand the angst first poster person. We're all in search of accurate information on his shoulder because we Brewer fans give a darn. I can post from experience about the shoulder issues/surgery Mark has had. What I do not know is if they moved the ligament in the front of his shoulder socket or not to help prevent the "dislocating of his shoulder on every throw." I have the same shoulder instability in my throwing shoulder and will know in a couple weeks if a second surgery is needed. The doctors shaved a little bone in the front of my shoulder to give the ligament some space and hopefully free it up from making a snapping/popping noise. I think that the ligament and bone coming in contact with each other is the problem with Mark, but that's based on my experience. The doctors held off on relocating the ligament until after rehab. I'm throwing now, with discomfort so I think they'll scope it again soon. If I'm wrong with what happened to Mark, I'll certainly post if an error is made with my opinion. Again, I'm just relating his experience to my own.
  10. Let me tell you 'bout Abad, the Arab, Sheik of the burnin' sands. Cat Stevens?
  11. A point often overlooked igor and roberts...assuming Suppan's health continues to be what it has been. At least the Brewers have officially offered him a contract. Let's see what happens.
  12. I wonder if Tisko made a typo or was trying to say 14 mil per year. Clarify?
  13. This whole thread is moot now that the Astros have traded with the Rockies...or is it?
  14. Thanks splitter. I knew there were more than what I could think of. I really was saddened about Nieves' arm woes especially.
  15. I'm willing to believe that Cirillo is over the mental anguish he put himself through when he was pressing too hard in Seattle. I think that wherever he goes, you're going to see what you've been seeing pretty much.
  16. I think it was the Rocky movie that inspired him to attempt a comeback. Surely it can't be old footage of Jim Palmer's comeback.
  17. Send in stunt double for Fidel Castro. Perhaps Lieutenant Drummond from Vice Squad.
  18. I heard that Jorge de la Rosa is the centerpiece of the deal also involving Graffanino, but Tony's agent informed Brewers GM Doug Melvin that Graffanino will not report to that cesspool that is Kansas City, thereby nullifying the deal.
  19. I'd even take My Cousin Vinny.
  20. Great point Geno. I was skimming over your post where you said you'll make 'em neat and handy and for some reason I thought it said white and nerdy at first. Just giggling to myself.
  21. Or, perhaps it's status quo with Baltimore and Mench. It's sensible for teams to try and find the best deal possible, so working other scenarios with other teams may not necessarily mean Mench to Baltimore is dead. Wait and see mode button is now pushed.
  22. I'm still pulling for the California Penal League.
  23. I'm just wondering aloud if the Brewers have a "Higuera Hex" on them or something. You can go further back than that for arm woes, but that's the best example I can find that the Brewers have been jinxed somehow. How about the "Sorensen Snakebite", or the "Vuckovich Voodoo", or the "Fingers reFLUX"? Any other names out there we can use? Oh yeah, the "Neugebauer Neugie" or the "Gold Fool's Gold", or the "Peterson Perplex", or the "Hill Hangover". And on and on and on... Seriously, this is just like a bad Hee Haw song. "If it weren't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all. Whoa-ho-ho! Gloom, despair, and agony on me."
  24. I meant soft physically...sorry if I wasn't clear.
