They've figured this guy out. 100 homers for the Crew so far this season! Thames is red hot!
-
CC just told Uecker "that's baseball and enjoy the ride." They were talking about last night's game. Uecker says middle of June and we're in first place. CC says there's a long way to go and we've cemented things as a group. I think CC loves this group of guys.
-
Last night was exciting. Thames is getting hot again and thrilled the fans with that walk off win. Brewers baseball is fun to watch this year.
-
Torres for the win and Drake for the save. Who knew! Keep it up guys and we won't want you gone anymore.
-
That's on us if Thames or Shaw aren't in the top 5. I've been voting for a month now. We all should vote and get them up there in the race.

Joe Maddon in NYC with the Cubs playing the Mets was on the Charlie Rose Show. When Charlie asked who would be in the WS this year Maddon said the Cubs and maybe the Yankees. Maddon seems to think the Cubs will head back to the WS. If the Brewers had a good bullpen I would feel so much better about their chances of staying in first place. But that might change with Stearns addressing it finally. We shall see.

I feel optimistic this afternoon because Stearns finally got rid of Feliz. No more batting practice for the opposing team. This team has done so well being in first place in spite of Feliz and a couple of others in that bullpen. Starting pitching still doing well, hitting for the most part is doing well, the new closer is doing well. Now to get that bullpen in sync with the rest of the team.
-
Thank you Stearns. Just cut your losses. Maybe he will hook up with another club and the money will be subtracted from the rest of that contract.

You're right. The trade means nothing compared to the health of Travis' daughter. But I saw an interview with Travis when he said "they didn't want me anymore." I brought up the fact that the third baseman the Red Sox chose over Travis still isn't producing and Travis is having a very good year for the Crew. Uecker said on a broadcast that he talked to a couple of Red Sox broadcasters and they said they wished Travis was still there along with many fans. Travis has found a home in Milwaukee. Both as a ballplayer and as a father of a little girl who is getting the best care possible in the country.
-
Travis being traded to the Brewers has been a win-win situation all around. He is doing very well as a Brewer, his daughter is in the best possible hands, and John Farrell, manager of the Red Sox is still making excuses for Sandoval's poor performance both in the field and at bat. Thornburgh has had set-back after set-back and hasn't pitched at all this season.

If Thames and Shaw don't get voted in they could be named as reserves. The Crew have been in first place for quite a while and baseball fans must notice the best hitters on the team. Braun is the name most people know but he is on the DL more than on the field so he's out.
-
Knebel, Shaw, Anderson and Thames. I've been voting for Shaw and Thames. I also voted for Bandy but his batting average has gone down so much that I just don't see it anymore. Thames is slipping but his power numbers from earlier in the season make him a candidate. Shaw, Knebel and Anderson definitely deserve it.
-
Still in first place. Good win and Knebel for the save.
-
Surprise! Feliz gives up a homer. Garbage time for him and more fodder for us.
-
We need to have a bit of levity around here otherwise it's more of the same complaining about this pathetic bullpen. That was a good one!
-
Nick Franklin out of the game! Too late. That might not have been a triple.
-
Brinson should have caught that. All the hype for this guy too. I think the more the hype the worse it is. Have to give him a chance like the others I suppose.
-
Travis gave it a ride but it was caught. Darn!
-
Yes, HLHS is very serious. I read up on it after reading about it here.
-
That is a very scary diagnosis. I'm glad she had the surgery and is doing well. I knew it was serious when Travis left for home after the birth. Glad that Travis is back with the team in St. Louis.
-
Uecker does have a bit of a reputation for having a sense of humor if you didnt know I know. That's why I love listening to him. He's a legend. The Dodgers had Scully, we've got Ueck.
-
Good for Broxton. He's been struggling and at least now the Crew won't be shut out.
-
Uecker says the Brewers have a "huge task" in the ninth inning. No kidding Ueck.
-
Scahill is no better. The futility remains and the DBack fans love their guys and the Crew's bullpen.
-
Another run. Thank you Peralta.
