  1. The wasteland all have an ERA over 4. Something should be done about that. I like Knebel, I really do. But he isn't a closer like Jansen. Of course the Dodgers are a big payroll team and can afford the best. I just think Feliz is such a bad signing because he was supposed to be the closer and he has failed.
  2. The Dodgers have a real closer. The Crew do not. Game over and it's a shame.
  3. Feliz, Hughes and Torres need to be gone. Get someone up from Colorado Springs and be done with heartbreaking innings like this.
  4. Poor defense and poor bullpen pitching. Travis and Hernan wowed the crowd and now this.
  5. Travis has 40 RBI and this was his first grand slam.
  6. Bandy lets one fly. The Crew is hitting Fields hard.
  7. Shaw grand slam and Perez back to back. I love the hitters on this team!
  8. "Straight up scrub." I agree. There's gotta be someone better to pick up or get someone from Colorado Springs.
  9. It's a shame that Nelson didn't get the win last night. He outpitched the great Kershaw last night. The Brewers are surprising a lot of people being in first place. Yes, the Cubs and Cardinals are underachieving. But the Crew is playing very well and are a lot of fun to watch most games.
  10. Feliz was brought in here to close games. He has been awful. I knew last night he would screw it up. They have to either use him for mop-up duty or release him. Knebel is the better closer. At the beginning of the season he was the hold guy now because the free agent closer isn't working out he has been pressed into that role. No, he shouldn't have given up that run. Yes, he isn't perfect. But the biggest problem here is Feliz not doing his job.
  11. The starting pitching staff is going deeper into games right now. If it keeps up playoffs in 2017 might be a reality. We'll see how they do in this Dodgers series at home.
  12. No way trade Knebel. They thought they had a lights out closer in Feliz and pay him as such. That didn't work out. Now they have one in Knebel and unless they are 20 games under .500 I say keep him. It's exciting to have a closer hitting 98 and striking out a batter in a close game in the bottom of the ninth.
  13. When they left the bases loaded at the top of the ninth I had a bad feeling. But closer Knebel did another great job and they got the win. A split in NYC. I'll take it.
  14. So, I take it that wasn't a strike on Travis? Anyone see it on tv? I'm listening on radio.
  15. He can't stay off the DL. Nobody would want him unless the Brewers take on some of that contract. Big market, big payroll teams do it but does it make sense for a small market team.
  16. If he had started the season as he's done for the past month he wouldn't even have a t-shirt. He needs to find his groove back. Thames and Braun are the only Brewers in the top of the All Star voting. One isn't hitting, the other on the DL again. Bandy and Shaw need some votes.
  17. Sometimes a player takes the extension and tanks. Sometimes they reject it and tank. Looking for more money isn't always the best way to go but the agent has major influence on the player. The more he makes, the more they make. It remains to be seen what happens to Villar. I don't think he'll be a superstar, but time will tell.
  18. 2 hits with nobody out and they stay right there. At least St. Louis lost today too. The Cubs are losing to SD.
  19. Uecker saying that one of those called a ball was a strike. Home town call and leads to walking in that run. But too many other times this bullpen comes in and promptly walks batters.
  20. Whether Thames is ailing or not, he just isn't getting it done. Santana is hot thankfully.
