  1. I'm thinking more and more its the Rockies we should be watching. Not the Cubs. The Rockies have lots of games remaining against LA and AZ. They very well could go .500 down the stretch. Agreed. Starting Friday, COL has 17 straight games and 11 of those games are the Dodgers and DBacks (8 in a row on the road). If they make they playoffs, they will certainly earn it.
  2. Jordan Yamamoto 7IP 3H 0R 1BB 7K. He has really taken a big step this year.
  3. I'm on the fence when it comes to keeping or shopping Santana. I love what he brings to the offense, he's young, and I feel he has yet to reach his ceiling. His defense on the other hand... If he gets traded, i would want it to be after the 2018 season. I would imagine Clark, Ray, Harrison, Taylor, and maybe Lutz (bit of a stretch) will be knocking on the door to the majors by then.
  4. Erceg has 7BB in his last 5 games to bring him to a total of 32 on the season. His numbers for August are .289/.379/.447. Hopefully he can keep this up the rest of the season.
  5. Agreed. If Adams has another good season, it will be really tough to justify having three 10+ million WR's. Right now, Cobb is the 16th highest paid WR. As much as TT hates dead cap money, I think Cobb could be expendable (this year or next) unless he agrees to renegotiate his contract.
  6. http://milwaukee.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2016/07/14/midseason-prospects-3-3-up-3-down/ Here is an article from a little over a year ago (scroll down to the Three Up headline). It talks about some of the things you mentioned with mechanical changes leading to increased velocity and more consistant command.
  7. I think I'm much higher on him than most people. He reminds me of a Yovanni light. I've read a report (can't find it) where he was hitting mid 90's to go with a much improved curveball and a changeup that is a bit behind.
  8. Looking at what's in the bullpen right now, it's hard to imagine he wouldn't be an instant upgrade. The big drawback is putting him on the 40 man, but it will likely have to happen next year anyways. There are enough marginal players on the 40 man where it's not the end of the world to add him this year. If they don't want to add him to the 40 man, I think Taylor Williams deserves a shot in the pen this year. I don't know what his innings limit is since he's coming off of TJ surgery however.
  9. Hader back-to-back games? I like the thought process here.
  10. He hasn't given up a run in his last 6 appearances.
  11. I would toss Freddy Peralta's name out there too.
  12. Thats fine. That is how the in game threads usually work. Many people make posts on quick reactions and you will pay if you are wrong. I do it from time to time. It is usually a risky venture to make reactionary predictions in the IGT. Calling someone out when they are/were wrong is one thing, I'm completely good with that. Trying to scold them like they are your children is another (especially when most here and completely guilty of a reaction themselves). Just too funny really over a nothing-burger of a comment. Especially after last nights IGT. You do realize your constant "well this is over" type comments ever time the Brewers are losing is annoying for everyone right? Especially in the 5th inning when it's a one run game
  13. It's amazing how Hader can get guys out with one pitch. If he can ever control that slider.... man
  14. We have 27 runs in the 6th or later in the last 9 games (28 innings). I'll go with the overall season with these guys. Not saying it can't happen but the odds are not good with them. Their OPS drops 80-100 points every three innings (.650 innings 7-9). It's bad man. Real bad. Been watching it all year. It certainly isn't ideal, especially adding the fact the Brewers struggle in this park, but it's way too early to be calling the game over.
