  1. The two relief pitchers have done nothing. Literally haven’t shown up. Bunch of jerks not being there for their teammates. I am not sure I agree. Can two guys be a “bunch”?
  2. The two relief pitchers have done nothing. Literally haven’t shown up. He is, as always, being sarcastic. Maybe you are too and jokes on me. Seriously? You can’t tell? Jokes on you.
  3. So, wait a minute. Because the Cubs are paying rizzos salary, it doesn’t count against NYY’s payroll? That’s garbage. NYY gets the player, the prorated salary should be on their books, no matter what accounting trick had to be done to make the deal happen.
  4. Were they talking pay cut? Or were they talking about a restructure? Usually they mean the latter where the money gets converted to a signing bonus. The player gets more guaranteed money today, and the team gets cap relief. I mean, if people were talking pay cut, that's silly, but if it was restructure, yes, Rodgers could have been open to that. And of course, because I am cynical, I don't believe for one second that Brady took a true pay cut. I am sure Kraft was getting him his money somehow. No, I don't have proof. Brady was probably getting all the money from the fifth blade they added to the Gillette razor.
  5. If you have time, do a search for “Coach Cooper”. Ever since a poster named BigAlBar&Grill mentioned his old Pony League coach during a thread in 2018, there have been hundreds of mentions of him. Some of you guys are really funny.
  6. When the pitcher throws good pitches to swing at you have to swing at them. I’ve said it in game threads before, but I feel as if the Brewers were sent up to bat with the instruction to take the first pitch earlier in the season.
  7. Can we discuss the game and not hash out another thread on Yelich’s contract? I’ll start: how long has Pitt had green hats?
  8. This is how I choose to remember Schoop:
  9. Dude has a virus that he needs to recover from. On a board with members that speculate regularly that he hasn't fully recovered (physically or mentally, take your pick) from his kneecap injury in 2019, it seems silly to suggest this is just a 10-day break for him. I hope he recovers completely, but, assuming he needs to be away from the team and facilities until he clears protocol, I cannot imagine that this will make him a better baseball player when he comes back.
  10. Oof. I remember reading the pre-draft on Steph Curry and they just whiffed bad on him too. Something like "could be a useful role player/6th man". To be fair, Steph Curry COULD be a useful role player/6th man. He just hasn't had the opportunity to try it yet. He's bee too busy with all those starter minutes and league-leading scoring years.
  11. Can we just wait until the Brewers pass on signing him before we make jokes? Please?
  12. Cards should have changed their name to the Guardians.......since they are clearly the guardians of the unwritten rules of baseball! Cardians? St. Louis Cardigans has a nice ring to it. Mascot can be your great-grandpa talking about how much better baseball was back in the day.
