    Finishing with a 5-10 game lead allows you to rest everyone the last week and get your rotation lined up. I don’t think it’s wasted effort.

    Second-guessing everything is fun, isn't it? Are you suggesting they should have kept Rengifo? You are worried about Anthony Siegler and Isaac Collins? and I liked Caleb Durbin, but I like the pitchers the Brewers got even better. It took Durbin til game 73 to get his OPS out of the .500s. I am sure that would have gone over well here.

    Just noticed the AL East has moved ahead of the NL Central for best record. 41 games over compared to 40 for the NLC. Doesn’t mean anything, but I’ve been noting it most of the season and I don’t remember a time this season when the Brewers’ division didn’t have the best record

    That’s the only metric I care about. PCA has a PFI of 179, one of the highest in the live ball era. His weighted xPFI, which factors in that he plays for the Cubs, is an astounding 221. Only players to come close to that number? The entirety of the Cardinals organization. @sveumrules, check my math.

    Careful you don't hallucinate because you can get meaning out of what isn't there, but...you are chafin' over past deadline deals for pitchers. It doesn't mean that shelby what happens in the future, norris is it a sign that Arnold doesn't know how to deal relievers at the deadline. It's a mears coincidence and seems like you are making a montas out of a molehill. Don't be a hader.

    I wanted them to get hitting, and I am concerned about the same-old, same-old in the playoffs, but come on, MKE has the 5th most runs per game in MLB. Not "lagging behind all season."

    There are 50 games left. Your math takes them to the end of August, and if the Brewers are tied with Chicago going into September, there will be puckering. Magic number remains at 45.
