  1. Looking at Fangraphs, Cubs have a 121 WRC+ as a team (2nd to the Dodgers at 123). They are 4th in MLB in OPS, 4th in SLG, 1st in OBP, 4th in BA, 5th in HR, and 2nd in runs scored. They are first in WAR. That's pretty close to dominant in 2026 MLB in my mind.
  2. Imagine Brewerfanatic if the Brewers lost six in a row, with three of them to the Cubs in walk-offs. Add in a 1-0 loss to Pittsburgn when the Pirates scored their run in the bottom of the 8th. Redszone is a pretty depressed place right now. First to last in a week.
  3. Dammit, Sproat. starts the fourth with back to back walks.
  4. Good lord, Hamilton just acknowledging he can’t hit the ball. Bunting on so many of his abs.
  5. Herrera has a .450 OBP against mke. Interesting to walk someone to get to him
  6. I don't know, man. You're telling me they DFA'd Jones for an outfielder whose current batting average is 95 points lower?
  7. I’m hoping that a heathy Turang, Chourio and Vaughan can juice up this lineup starting tomorrow. 22 homers so far is no bueno. 28th in HR and SLG is not good
  8. Good job by Henderson. If he hadn’t slipped covering first on the leadoff batter in the fifth, he might have a shutout
  9. Did they not pick that ball up off the bat? It was in the air a long time for neither Frelick nor Mitchell to get to it. im guilty of expecting the Brewers OF to catch everything
  10. After yesterday, both options are still in play.
  11. And my point is that no one knows the severity of an injury in the immediate aftermath. They were described identically at the time of injury. Allow me my pessimism.
  12. Okay. We will see. From July 30: Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio left Tuesday night's 9-3 win against the Chicago Cubs with a right hamstring spasm, the team announced.
  13. Chourio felt a “tickle” and was out for the month of August last year
  14. Braves can start lining up their rotation for the playoffs. They are up 6.5 games. I just looked, and Detroit went 18-2 in April 1984 and only had a six-game lead. Tampa went 22-6 in 2023 and were up three games. Does anyone know what the largest division lead after April is?
  15. Okay, folks, here we go. After a 16-14 start in March/April, the Brewers have 27 games on the schedule for May. Congrats to @RobDeer 45, @bensheeps, and @nate82 for guessing correctly. Tough looking month, with Yankees, Padres, Cubs, and Dodgers. Six with STL, and 3-gamers against WAS, MIN, and HOU to round it out. Will the Brewers get healthy? 3 @ WAS 3 @ STL Off Day 3 NYY Off Day 3 SDP 3 @ MIN 3 @ CHC Off Day 3 LAD 3 STL Off Day 3 @ HOU Have at it! I'll go 15-12.
  16. Drohan was so good yesterday. That bullpen chart looks completely different if he didn't do what he did.
  17. Brewers are 28th in batter challenges (33%) and 16th in catcher challenges (62#). They certainly seem to be on a bad streak with batters for sure.
