  1. Am I in the Lift&Pull Generation? Or am I too old? I'm too old, aren't I.
  2. Ortiz for Skubal, who says no? Although the Tigers would have to throw in Mize to make it work.
  3. To my knowledge, no. I checked it out a few years ago because my dad did it in a home talent league game many years ago. Made the first out, team batted around, dad made the second out, they batted around, and he made the third out.
  4. What are the Phillies gonna say when Lara gets added to the All-star roster after 5 games in the majors?
  5. Funny you should ask. 2186-2173 since 1998. They started the year 9 games under .500.
  6. In case you were wondering, I hate this uniform Combo of hat and jersey. I’ve gotten used to the grey pants
  7. I went to the game on Wednesday with my wife and another couple. The wives are not baseball fans, and my friend's wife asked about the French player...Huh? She thought they were saying "William From Paris". Now I can't hear anything else when Wild Bill comes up to bat.
  8. Not that I want Arenado, but the Brewers could definitely help push the D-Backs toward a horrendous July, starting tonight.
  9. I agree. I am an optimistic and enthusiastic fan. I have a lot of hope. I invest in season tickets (partial). I have Brewer.TV and watch a lot of games. I spent a ton of money on playoff tickets the last three years. Granted, most of that money was refunded due to the early exits. I have had a great time following this team. I also know that they are up against tremendous odds in the playoffs. The style of ball they play in the regular season may not be the optimal way to win in the playoffs. My optimism doesn't make me blind to the flaws of the team. But, where am I gonna go? I'm an inmate here.
  10. Ooh, give me a Cards doubleheader ahead of our 5-gamer there next week.
  11. “Zero baseball IQ” LOL that’s such a ridiculous statement.
  12. The Brewers faced a different pitching staff in the postseason. Regular season featured one start by Yamamoto, one by Sheehan, 2 by Kershaw, and 2 by Glasnow. Zero by Ohtani. Glasnow's back-to-back starts against MKE in July were his first two after a three-month shoulder injury, so he wasn't as sharp or stretched out as he was in the playoffs. The relief corps the Dodgers used against Milwaukee during the regular season was Vesia, Trivino, Klein, Yates, Banda, Dreyer, Casparius, and Scott. These were the postseason starters: Yamamoto, Ohtani, Snell, and Glasnow. Add in Sasaki out of the BP for three games. That's 31.1 of the 36 innings in the playoffs.
  13. My MLB.TV says "Blackout" on the brewer game for tonight.
  14. I just learned that the start time is 7:10. I assumed 6:40. Thanks, Brewerfanatic!
  15. Imagine playing Gorman Thomas in CF today. I know he was injured in the series, but he had no ability to change direction because of his hamstrings. Ozzie Smith scoring from second on a sac fly to center is burned in my brain.
