  1. Well, we should all be ashamed of ourselves for our May predictions. No one predicted 19-7. No one was closer than 2.5 games off. @ErnieRilesBrianGilescame the closest with 17-10. New month, new challenges, underestimate the Brewers if you must. What is their record for the 27 games in June? 4 SFG 3 @COL 3 @ATH Off Day 3 PHI Off Day 3 CLE 3 @ATL 3 @CIN Off Day 3 CHC 2 (of a 4 game series) CIN
  2. Wow! What a performance! 19-7 in May. Beyond my wildest expectations
  3. Jordan Alvarez is probably my favorite non-Brewer.
  4. Alimber Santa? I guess that’s how hit gets down the chimney
  5. Abner was locked in tonight. Now go serve your suspension
  6. Something smells, that’s for sure
  7. Do you get the freaking hat game every ad break on mlb.tv? I see hardly any ads, just the hat game and a bunch of mlb promos. How do they make money?
  8. Having all the offense happen in the 8th, to match Abner's 8th inning last night, is proof that Abner's behavior has the blessing of the baseball gods. Even they hate the Cardinals.
  9. I don't think it's an insult to imagine them going 56-54 the rest of the way, which would be 88 wins. It's not like they'd have to collapse for that to happen. Baseball can be a cruel game. They are on pace for 99.7 wins right now, so is it more likely they will go 66-44 or 56-54? It's hard to play .600 ball for a season.
  10. I see Framber Valdez hit Trevor Story intentionally and got a five-game suspension. A couple things I find interesting: Contreras involved: It seems Valdez was triggered by Willson Contreras watching a home run and then flipping the bat. It was the first, FIRST! four-seam fastball he had thrown since August 3 of last year. His last four-seam fastball on August 3? Also hit a Red Sox batter while he was losing 6-1. So, if the catcher calls for the four-seamer with Valdez, somebody better bang a trash can to warn the hitter.
  11. Not the worst in history. Not even the worst in their division in 2026. (I am aware you were probably kidding, just love me some Cardinal misery)
  12. Interesting that the five NL Central teams are in the top nine in positive baserunning
  13. You know, they don’t have to see the top of the Dodger order again. Would be nice to have that happen.
  14. Come on, Bauers is .981 in the outfield for his career.
  15. Bauers is fine in left. Why do people act like he’s Pete Incaviglia out there?
  16. I agree with this, but then again, I’m old enough to remember when college players stayed with the same university for four years
  17. I blame the Cubs for not putting up a fight. What's Ashby supposed to do? Can't vulture a game when the outcome isn't in doubt. The one game he got into he tried his best to get the game tied so he could win it.
  18. Why? You don’t have to face three batters if you end an inning.
