  1. This went right over my head until about the 4th time I read it. Nice!
  2. 'Sprinting' is being pretty generous. He looked like he was using an elliptical. As fast as an 80 year old man can move on an elliptical! Now that you say that, that’s exactly how it looks too
  3. LaRussa came sprinting out of the dugout after Jose Abreu got pegged in the head and made contact with the opposing catcher slightly pushing him. I absolutely can’t stand that dude, but if he’s not suspended, that’s a big failure on MLB. The catcher was trying to make sure the hitter was okay. He incited the benches clearing very clearly.
  4. Right…. Henry has to make the majors and be above avg. to equal this. The crazy part is the years of control that the Brewers have Curtiss. Two excellent trades for Escobar and Curtiss, you would think on paper. The control is huge. If he’s as effective as he has been this season for the next few years, he is a steal. Escobar was a big get that didn’t cost us anything significant. Very pleased with all the moves.
  5. I want to just say that I do not mean anything bad with Kolten Wong’s last name. I am just having fun with his last name. There is no hidden meaning or anything behind it. I won’t say it on here again. I’ve had a hectic summer and haven’t been on here for a couple months. I’m excited for Brewers baseball and am just having a fun time interacting with you guys again for the night. He has a fun name that I just like saying. I even include it in my everyday conversations just taking out a letter and having fun with it and it all started back a few years ago. I am sorry if people didn’t appreciate it. I truly do not mean to offend anybody.
  6. Looking forward to seeing Escobar in the mix. He’s a much better out of nowhere cleanup hitter than…. Well….. Ya know….
  7. He’s ring-chasing, and hate or not, the Dodgers are the logical choice. So I guess there’s only one thing left to do, in the immortal words of Jake Taylor… Technically reports all said west coast. So Dodgers/Padres/Giants/Angels/etc. Because it would frankly be just horrible for 2 months of your life to be in Milwaukee vs LA. How would you even survive not breathing in smoke from wildfires for 2 straight months? But what if he wants to legally inhale smoke without getting suspended…
  8. Westbrook is 33, and Kuzma is a pretty good player. Lets see who is somewhat healthy come playoff time next year. I think the Wizards got the better end of the deal. Kuzma has been yanked around by the Lakers since he’s been there and he’s a great young player. He will take a big step forward this year being able to showcase himself. Harrell is a high energy 6th man that plays his role well and stays within himself. Good rebounder, but he doesn’t stretch the floor. Caldwell-Pope is an all around solid player. Plus they got a first round pick. I do think Westbrook is a bad fit for the Lakers. He is not a particularly good shooter. He’s the cream of the crop at making it to the basket and driving and dishing. But he needs the ball in his hands to be effective and make an impact on the game. This is most likely a move to take the pressure off Lebron of spending so much time taking hard contact during the regular season driving to the basket. Father Time is catching up to Lebron. I wonder if he will start to transition into taking a few more 3’s than he used to and not spent so much time getting hammered underneath unless it’s playoff time. Is Lebron a good enough shooter to begin a transition into that role? I by no means am saying Lebron will completely change his ways, because that won’t happen. But driving to the basket 25 times per game and getting hacked and pulled down a bunch might start to take a toll on the body at his age than it would a few years ago.
  9. I love seeing that Stearns was involved in trying to get Scherzer!! I wonder if we had the best deal in place, but he wouldn’t wave the no trade??
  10. “Did your phone die this morning” was the beginning of the first question to Jerry Dipoto in his news conference after the deadline. Wow… I do think it’s a bad look for the Mariners to not do anything around their young core to show his belief in them and build up that winning culture again.
  11. I saw “Jorge Soler traded to Br” and immediately got excited. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read stuff on television over the years that starts out that way and I immediately think Brewers.
  12. I believe that was based on an inaccurate report. Sure hope so. That would be a massive overpay in my opinion.
  13. Rumor going around that it may be Joey Bart as the return, MLB #17 Prospect. I would puke.
  14. Great trade. Controllable through 2025, doesn’t walk many guys, can go multiple innings, 7th-9th inning reliever depending on the day. This was a very good trade with our catching position at the big league level under control for the foreseeable future when you include Feliciano.
  15. Curtiss is a big addition. 4 years of control after this year. He’s a very good back end reliever. We still have Narvaez for a number of years and Feliciano knocking on the door. This is a good trade for both sides.
  16. I didn’t expect much other than a reliever after the Adames and Tellez acquisitions. The Escobar trade shocked me as I thought Rowdy was playing well and Urias seemed to be finding his footing. I would be surprised if we add another bat, but Stearns always finds a way to surprise me. Having a bunch of quality bats is never a bad thing.
  17. That would be amazing. I would be open to it. As long as there is another couple trades on the horizon as a domino effect to bring in quality bullpen arms, I would do it.
  18. Not a fan of Norris at all. Not high on Olson, but I feel like we could have done better.
  19. Yes please. Get that contract off the books and improve the roster. He’s controlled through next season too.
  20. Rowdy will fix that for ya. I actually love Rowdy too. I had him penciled in as part of a return in a Hader trade this past offseason. One of Cain or Bradley will most likely need to be moved to have the money for a guy like Rizzo, but it’s manageable. It would give us the chance to put Yelich in the 2 hole followed by Adames and then Rizzo. That’s a nasty middle of the order. Mix in Narvaez in the 5 hole against lefties with a re-signing of Escobar for third as a possible 5 hole hitter, we would have a great lineup! Anyway, go Crew and let’s get ROWDY!
  21. Not a fan of the Cubs getting Madrigal… Not one bit.
