  1. The last time I was optomistic the Cardinals kicked our butts. I'm being pessimistic the rest of the year. Uh oh, we got controversy.
  2. How does a team that was on pace for 104 losses 10 days ago go 9-1 since?
  3. "Game over" posts already? Sheesh... Hence, the "may be". It's a very real possibility. They have been shut out 10 times already this year after all.
  4. Even Santana would've easily caught that. I know we can't take Aguilar out of the lineup but I'm sorry, Thames has no business playing outfield. Stearns should think about trading him for a couple nice prospects. There's just no room for him here.
  5. With Aguilar now are only offense, that Peralta home run may be enough for them.
  6. Oh good, Yelich is hurt. Good thing we have Cain at the top of the.....oh wait.
  7. Oh I agree... I just hope we aren't regressing back to where we "should" be. Sucks that when the Cubs slump, so do we. Would love to build a cushion up!!! Or, isn't it awesome that our slump is not affecting us negatively because of the Cubs' slump? That's the old school thinking, when we were just happy to be here. It's time to start thinking like champions, ticked off we're not taking advantage of opportunities to seperate ourselves from the pack.
  8. I think Hader and Aguilar are locks for the All Star Game.
  9. Peralta and Suter our 1-2 starters after the All Star Break.
  10. Being a no-name first baseman it is nearly impossible to be a lock. Outside of that Fangraphs has him as the #7 first baseman...in the NL. Right behind him is a well know name Bellinger. I’d have to say he is quite far from a lock...maybe even on the outside looking in. How many 1B even typically make it? Freeman, Votto, and Goldy are all no-brainers over Aguilar. Belt also likely easily over Aguilar. Goldy is not a lock at all. He was hitting .200 until a couple weeks ago. The Brewers have the best record in the National League. They shouldn't just be represeted by the minimum one player. Dave Roberts should be able to recognize what's going on.
  11. Kinda surprised Peralta got another inning. I would think CC would have had a more conservative pitch count for him, but so far the decision is paying off.
  12. Absolutely. When Davies comes back he or Anderson should head for the bullpen as a long reliever.
  13. After a 20 pitch first inning I was certain Peralta wouldn't get through five, but he's being very efficent since.
  14. This is the third game in a row we scored two runs in the first inning. Let's hope this is the first time we score somewhere between innings 2-8.
  15. fact check: He is nowhere close to .200. If he were, he would be batting cleanup. i mean we been trying to get him going for 7 years now yet the madness continues. Glaring, when nobody else is hitting. I imagine our players arent to thrilled that we have a guy hitting .145 in the lineup. Alot of players don't have much room to talk about other players not hitting.
  16. Counsel was right, if 2 guys dont produce, then nobody does. But it doesnt help that sogard is batting. And if the starters struggle with their command like they did the past three games and don't give you quality starts, then the chances of winning are slim.
  17. And if the Cards had not commited four errors on Thursday, we probably score only four.
  18. Not sure if I should be disappointed we couldn't take 3 of 4 after winning the first two or grateful we got a split against the Cardinals. With the Cubs and Pirates getting swept this weekend, we missed a golden opportunity. Stearns really has to address the offense sooner than later.
