Ok maybe not.

Call for replay all you want, he's safe.

Don't feel picked on, Jericho. The Cards hit everybody, wild pitch to everybody, walk everything. It's the new Cardinal Way. I know you're a Cardinal fan, but you're impossible to dislike. It's not their fans that are insufferable, it's their players/coaches. You're thinking of the Cubs.
-
This is SOP for the team. it always takes them a few days to realize that. I predict they'll finally do it tomorrow.
-
Yes, there were plenty of examples where the Brewers were in violation of the Cardinal Way, unexplainable to children. Will it be Thames for his temper tantrum, Sogard for his malicious slide, or Aguilar for having the audacity to start a celebration at home plate after a walk off home run? The irony of the latter is the Cardinals have the most walk off wins of anybody this year and amazingly enough, they've celebrated every one. https://www.vivaelbirdos.com/st-louis-cardinals-news-analysis-mlb/2018/6/4/17425556/the-cardinals-have-seven-walk-off-hits-lets-watch-them-all-a-hunt-and-peck

Braun is untradeable, and unless he gets scorching hot he alwys will be. I don't think anybody is calling Stearns about the availbility of a 34 year injury prone player with pedestrian numbers who's making 20 million per year the next three years. This may be unpopular but I wouldn't be against trading Thames. He's a guy that can fetch a couple young prospects without dwindling our chances of making a deep playoff run.
-
Might have been gamesmanship by Counsell. Braun might have needed another night after his injection. Or maybe it's the same old story where Counsell minimizes the severity of a Braun injury only for him to wind up on the DL a couple days later and doesn't come back for a few weeks.
-
Speaking of Braun, for someone who's been "available" for pinch hitting if needed you wouldn't know it. Sogard got the call for an AB before him.
-
Almost no hitter, almost bench clearing brawl, bomb to tie it, walk off bomb to win it. Yawwwwwn Anyone who wasn't entertained by that, go watch rollerball or sonething. THIS x 100 Best, possibly most entertaining game of the year and were having this discussion??? I really don't get it. Frustrating game, yes. Boring, no.
-
I'm a little worried myself. Baseball needs to evolve. Really really focus on shortening games. Attendance is down 5-6%, I read this is first year there will be more strikeouts than hits. Not good. Ball in play is good for attention spans of people these days. Eliminating specialty pitchers would be great. Boone Logan is exhibit A.
-
Knowing them, they will even though EVERY team does it. They will probably bean Aguilar his first AB tomorrow. If saltiest team was an award, I’m beyond sure that the Cardinals would win it every year.
-
I wonder how long it will take for opposing teams to figure out not to pitch to Jesus.
-
Are you not supposed to stick up for your teammates when they get plunked intentionally? Not retaliating only encourages them to bean players some more because they know there won't be any consequenses.
-
Will never happen... I know, but we should.
-
Stop talking about not applying a tag as if it's not a force.
-
If we don't get another hit, they will.
-
Now go back to back and collar him with the loss.
-
Suck it, Flaherty!!!!!
-
Scherzer doesn't pitch for the Cardinals.
-
I'm hating Flaherty more and more with every passing inning. Jawing again after striking out Cain.
-
Right now I'd be happy just to get a hit off this jackwagon.
-
I don’t. I’m good with him letting Guerra attempt the 6th. I agree, not seeing the issue with letting Guerra start that inning. Because it's the exact same scenario that happened last week with Anderson. In a one run game, he clearly didn't have his best stuff but Counsell tried to squeeze another inning out of him simply to clear his spot in the order the next time up. He got away with it tonight but he sure didn't last time. It didn't help either that he pulled Anderson for Boone Logan in a game they were only trailing by one run.
