  1. Some guy named Stu Scheurwater is the home plate umpire. Is he a rookie? Because he calls balls and strikes like a rookie.
  2. Where's the Darvish that single handedly lost the World Series for the Dodgers?
  3. Don't ever tell me games don't matter in April. These are games that could've been won had the powers that be had just found a competant replacement for Suter.
  4. Late to the party. Let's see, two runs for the Cubs in the first inning. Suter must be pitching.
  5. Thames will likely miss 6-8 weeks.
  6. He's not wearing a Cardinals jersey anymore so he'll strike out every at bat these two games.
  7. I don't think I've ever seen an ovation like that. At least not with a non Hall of Fame player.
  8. Stearns needs to find a legit closer or it's going to be a long six weeks until Knebel gets back. He's not looking so bad now.
  9. Chacin is hot garbage. We'd have been better off just resigning Garza to be honest.
  10. https://brewers.mlblogs.com/scheduling-update-brewers-wall-of-honor-event-moved-to-july-24-b843a31ab9e6 Personally I don't think Jenkins is worthy of the honor because he never really played on any good teams during his tenure here, or at least not until the very end, but it's not like I would lose any sleep over it.
  11. Yeah, the players were happy Sogard resigned because they have absolutely no one else who can play second base.
  12. http://www.12up.com/posts/5984206-report-mlb-officials-considering-completely-ridiculous-rule-change-to-ninth-inning?a_aid=36273
  13. Cain will be taking Sedar's #6 and is also rumored that Sedar will take #80 to match the $80 million Cain will make. I think it's because 80 will also match the number of times this year he foolishly waves around runners into an easy out at the plate.
  14. Another first round pitching bust. What a shock.
  15. Matt Kemp in LA, Chase Headley is San Diego, Pablo Sandoval in San Francisco, Yovani Gallardo in Milwaukee! What is this, 2011?
  16. Now word is Darvish was tipping his pitches in his two starts.
  17. No manager in his right mind is going to start a pitcher on two days rest in a game 7 of the World Series, or in any game for that matter, especially when three days earlier that pitcher couldn't make it out of the fifth. And it's not like Kershaw has historically been unhittable in the post-season. He's like the Brett Favre of baseball: great in the regular season, a liability in the post season. No one could've seen Darvish stink it up a second game in a row. If it was as easy as starting your ace on two days rest, Houston would've started Kuechel or however you spell his name. You can't look back in hindsight and say Roberts should've started Kershaw.
  18. Darn it! Well, if there's anything positive that comes out of this, it's that David Stearns played a big part in Houston's championship.
  19. Let's go, Dodgers! Walk off Series winner to top off a classic World Series.
  20. Well, Darvish most likely ruined an entire season for a team he was never fully a part of.
