So I take it everyone is done whistling past the graveyard concerning the offense this past month?
  3. PinaMadness
Let's not act like the Braves offense has been much better. Sure they have had a few more baserunners but their ability to push runs across has been pretty reliant on the homerun ball At least they're scoring runs.

Tre Flowers was released by Seattle. An experienced corner with four years of starting experience now available. Never mind. The Packers are signing Quinton Dunbar, whoever he is.

Lonnie Smith thinks Duvall is a bad base runner.
  6. PinaMadness
Duvall is a really bad base runner. I mean historically bad.

    He's a jagoff.

How sad that the offense is so pathetic that we're begging for high pitch counts and avoiding double plays.
  10. PinaMadness
They finally steal a base and it's when the pitcher is hitting with two outs.

Damn, nine pages into the game thread and the game hasn't even started.

Rich Bisaccia held his first press conference and stated the Raiders will put this behind them and now focus on the future in continuing the Raiders tradition of proving themselves of being overrated frauds.

I don't really get why that's the right call, but OK I guess? I don't think it's insane to leave him for Game 5 or anything, but we are the brink of death here. If we're down 2-0 in the 1st tomorrow I'll probably be wishing Burnes had started. Our starters have been going on 5-6 days rest for most of the season. The odds of Burnes being effective on 3 days are pretty minimal. Lauer is the best option.

Yes, agreed. I think it was the correct call based on the circumstances. It was their absolute best chance to score and change the position of the game. The turning point wasn't taking Peralta out, it was not scoring with runners at 2nd-3rd and nobody out. Gotta win 2 in a row. It's been done before Who would've been a good option to pinch hit? Because right now Peralta or any pitcher for that matter is no worse.

Trying to read through this gamethread after getting home from work and don't have any more patience to get through it. I obviously couldn't watch the game, and thank God I didn't, but I did keep tabs on the score and personal stats. When I saw Peralta got pulled after four innings, no runs, three hits and 57 pitches, I automatically thought that Counsell was an idiot for doing so. Then I saw Houser's line and my feelings were confirmed to be true. This on the heels of pinch hitting for Pina on Saturday and Counsell is having a bad series. However, all his bad decisions aren't going to outweigh the fact that this offense sucks and will most likely be the death of this team in 1-3 days. The offense needs to be upgraded immensely this winter. That's not even debatable. That includes letting Haines go. He has to take the fall for this failure once and for all. That's my rant. See you tomorrow.

    The Rays are in trouble.

I don't know why I find this funny. I just do.

The lines were wonky all day. Last week I kept thinking Watt was lining up offsides but saw the line was off the last time I noticed it and he really wasn't on that play. It doesn't seem that hard, line up the line of scrimmage on the ball and on first down have the computer put the line to gain 10 yards downfield, how can they be a half a yard off? And we're supposed to trust automated strike zones?

I'm glad some posters here are not GM for this team. We'll leave that job to Rodgers.
  20. PinaMadness
We got a win in a game we deserved to lose more than any game in history.

    Exhale

This is by far MLFs worst game as head coach. If you would've told me before the game that the defense would be the bright spot of the game I would've had you committed.
  23. PinaMadness
Sneak it. Not even a question.
  24. PinaMadness
Was it called a first down? I don't even know.

A little snarky aren’t you. No more so than you and the rest of the cut Crosby honks.
