If I were a Cardinal fan I'd be feeling pretty cocky about playing the Brewers 6(?) times before the end of the season. It almost seems like we're trying to coast to the finish line. But there's a bit of a hill before we get there. Keep pedaling! Yeah, I agree. I'm not nearly as confident in facing them in the NLCS than others. This is just historically what they do. Get super hot in September and ride it all the way to a World Series championship. As far as the division title, yeah we're going to win it, but I think it would be better served to get it over with ASAP than just waiting for it to happen.

idk Box has been making me a little nervous lately. I wouldn't mind Strickland or Cousins in that 7th inning role. ehh, Boxberger really just had the one blow up outing against philly. He's been really dependable otherwise. He also gave up a home run last night. I guess it depends on what he does his next appearance.

Final stats for the Saints offense - 43 plays for 128 yards for 3 yards per play. Kamara with 5 yards rushing. Now this is an outlier box score, but still a scathing indictment against Barry. -

If you look at the stats it's even more embarrassing. Through three quarters they had 99 total yards on 25 plays, including just 12 rushing yards for Kamara. EDIT: Kamara with 5 rushing yards on 8 carries with 5 minutes left the fourth.

Oh, so you're one of those edgy analytics guys. Got it. And yet the Dodgers are fifth in runs scored and home runs in the majors. Dodger Stadium being a pitchers ballpark has always been overblown.

Scherzer followed up his his 8 inning, 1 hit shutout performance with a 7 inning two hit shutout performance lastnight, and has not given up an earned run in his last 36.2 innings pitched. I think that will impress the voters more than Burnes's barely quality start.
