  1. Excellent show. Kinda went off the rails Season 4 when they fired Dan Harmon, but Season 5 and 6 were pretty great again, even though they weirdly retired Chevy Chase's character.
  2. I unfortunately have. It's terrible. Don't waste your time.
  3. LOL 25 hours and $5 extra for 150 hours? I get unlimited for free with YouTube TV. But you keep on doing you and paying for that horrible customer service. We will see you in 2-years from now when you are again complaining about how they won't bring the price down for you. 2 years? If it is really that bad, I won't stay 2 years, no contract. I can handle $120 a month (including the larger dvr storage, internet, and tv) and be able to watch Brewers games. The Bally Sports channel is the deal breaker for me. I'll pay extra for that, no problem at all. I just see no reason to pay Spectrum $238 when I can get the same deal for 2 years with TDS for about $120-$125. If you guys who go back and forth between streaming services, and can't watch the Brewers, feel it's worth it for you and what you do, then have at it. I am not sticking up for TDS by any means, just seems like they are worth a try. I agree with you. If I had the option of TDS, I'd give them a shot. It seems pretty reasonable, all things considered. I certainly hope that there are eventually more options to get Bally Sports and watch Brewer games in the future. If there isn't, I'll likely be ponying up funds for DirectTV Now once again come March.
  4. It's the same thing. ATT TV rebranded as DirectTV Stream in late August.
  5. Thank you for that suggestion. For $9, I may give it a try. My wife is an Apple loyalist (hence, the two Apple TVs upstairs). I’m more inclined to go the cheapest route since we’re talking about a Frankenstein basement setup. Any recommendations? Roku? Amazon? Something else? I run Roku Express units on all my TVs. They are cheap (under $30) and super easy to use. Amazon Fire Sticks are pretty comparable. I've used both, and IMO the Rokus are a little easier to navigate.
  6. 1) You should be able to do that if the TV has an HDMI hookup. Otherwise you'd need to by a cheap converter such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Eanetf-Connector-Adapter-Transmitter/dp/B097QRSH31/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=hdmi+to+av+cable&qid=1638546872&sr=8-3 2) Probably not, as most monitors do not have audio functionality. Not sure if you'd be able to use an adapter for an external speaker system. There might be a way to do that.
  7. He's likely the type of guy who will sign a minors deal with an opt-out. I don't think I'd take much issue with that.
  8. The few times we saw Bickford pitch here, he was throwing fastballs with little movement in the upper 80s to low 90s. There was literally nothing he was doing that indicated that he'd ever be anything more than a replaceable, dime-a-dozen reliever. I don't fault the Brewers at all for finally dumping him after sticking by him through all his off-field issues over the years. Perhaps he's found something with the Dodgers ... who knows. I do know, though, that relievers who don't bring much special to the table rarely last long.
  9. They won't ... and shouldn't. Go take a look at the first few outings Pomeranz had for the Brewers if you want proof why they shouldn't. Pomeranz was a lot better his first few outings. He fanned 5 in his first 2 innings, both scoreless. His third appearance was a 3 inning start. Only hit he allowed was a HR, but he fanned 3 and Brewers won the game easily. In the appearance he allowed 2 runs, they scored when Hader gave up a 3 run HR. Brewers should DFA him now. He's getting worse with every appearance. He can't be trusted in high leverage situations. So why keep him? If you like him for next year, he'll be available on a minor league deal. Pomeranz was a much more accomplished pitcher with winning teams. I consider "a few" to be 5-6 outings. Pomeranz gave up a run in 2/3 of an inning against the Rangers on Aug. 10, then a couple more against the Rangers in 1/3 of an inning on Aug. 13 following that run he gave up in his spot start. Then he went into ace reliever mode basically through the end of the season. Norris isn't real far off that trajectory right now. He has a good arm, and I expect them to give him several more chances. He was very good for the Tigers from July 10 through the trade deadline. If he falters, you move on. Eventually. Not after less than 6 innings total.

  11. Without a doubt. Velo is at least 3-4 mph higher than Milner on the FB, and Norris's slider is much better than any of Milner's secondary stuff. Plus he's not a junkballing side-armer. I hate junk-balling sidearmers.
  12. Relief pitchers are going for way more than typical this deadline, it seems. It's the bats that teams are getting pennies on the dollar for. The fact that the Brewers seemingly gave up more value for Daniel Norris than they did Eduardo Escobar is somewhat crazy to me, but the market is what it is.
  13. Fangraphs had him as our #6 guy. And not even on the Top 30 according to MLB Pipeline. Which shows how all over the map these prospect ranking services are with no minor league seasons last year. I personally have found MLB Pipeline to be more accurate on prospect valuation over the years, though. Fangraphs has been pretty bad, IMO.
  14. Except Pomeranz sucked as a starter and then improved when he went to the pen. Norris sucked in the bullpen and we are...keeping him in the bullpen. Norris started 29 games in 2019 my man. Went to the pen last season and was much better. Had a rough start to this year, but has been much better of late. I stand by that statement 100%
  15. Good point. I think this move somewhat confirms the idea that the club feels they cannot.
  16. Fastball, slider change-up guy that throws in the mid 90s. Pomeranz a little different with his knuckle-curve, but otherwise pretty similar profile. Obviously the Brewers see something in him that they can fix. He's been showing much better as a reliever since the All-Star break.
  17. You can download the Bally app on a Roku device. I haven't felt the need to do that, though, as I can just watch the Brewers on the Bally Sports channel on AT&T TV. What are you going to use as your cable provider in order to access the BallySports app?
  18. To add to this, I'd say Roku users shouldn't worry too much about this, Roku and Google are playing their game of chicken but Roku will cave, they're not going to want to lose market share to other streaming devices and YouTube TV is too big of an app for them to risk not being able to offer their user base. I can't imagine Roku would risk losing app support for longer than a day or two and I really don't expect it will even get to that point. This is also a reason to be somewhat diverse in the use of streaming devices in your home. They're fairly cheap, having an Amazon Fire TV Stick or Chromecast with Google TV as a backup shouldn't hurt your wallet that much. I'm not saying you should have a backup for every tv in your home but at least one extra device will cover you in a pinch if something like this happens from time to time. As far as time delay on AT&T TV there definitely is one and I've noticed it more than once when following along in IGTs. It is still annoying enough where I wouldn't consider that a better alternative to the Bally's app, if the delay bothers you there it will still bother you using AT&T TV. I feel like there's a similar delay with all the streamer systems. Yeah, it's a little annoying to follow the IGT or Twitter at times while watching via AT&T TV, but that is very much a "first world" problem. I'm just happy to have a way to watch Brewers baseball right now that isn't a stolen, illegal Reddit stream that is probably pumping my laptop full of viruses and spyware LOL.
  19. How much do you pay per month for Spectrum cable service, if you don't mind me asking?
  20. I think the key is that you typically aren't tied in to any sort of contract with a streaming service, so you can jump around. Like if you want to watch the Brewers, you can get AT&T TV April through September, then just drop it ... with no fuss. If you want to watch the new season of Ted Lasso in July, you can get Apple TV, watch what you want to watch, then drop it. I think people appreciate having the flexibility of not being tied down to a two-year contract. At least I do. Yeah, right now I am paying for AT&T TV, Netflix and the Disney bundle (Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu). It's roughly $115, which is right around what I was paying for DISH Network a few years ago before I dropped it. But with kids, I'd probably still be paying for Netflix and the Disney stuff even if I was still with DISH, and I wouldn't have the Brewers (since DISH dropped the Fox Sports RSNs). So to me, while the price is a little higher right now, I'm still coming out ahead in the long run.
  21. Been watching Resident Alien lately. It just finished its first season run on the SyFy Network. Kind of a Sci Fi "dramady" (think kind of a cross between X-Files and Fargo) but it is really funny.
  22. Yep ... should probably serve as a warning to those pushing for the Brewers to trade Hader. They'd probably be lucky to get 1-2 prospects back the caliber of Diaz and Harrison, let alone a Top 25 MLB prospect like Brinson was at the time. Ironic considering all of the success these two franchises have had over the years trading proven talent for prospects. But I suppose that is all invalidated by this singular example. Not in the least. But that doesn't mean that caution shouldn't be exercised. Prospects who are highly ranked by outside ranking services are not always the end-all, be-all. Brinson, Diaz and Harrison were all certainly "shiny object"-type prospects. It's more of a statement on tempering expectations on any sort of return on Hader more than anything.

  24. I was perhaps the biggest Wade Miley detractor. I absolutely hated that move. I hated the idea of him taking up a rotation spot. I thought he was done ... and that he wasn't any good to begin with. And I couldn't have been more wrong. Which is why I'm commenting on player moves on a internet message board, and not working for an MLB front office LOL. I loved the Yelich trade at the time, but the deal certainly wasn't without risk, which I think was reflected in the comments of those posters who didn't approve.
  25. They are ... but the Spiderman movies are distributed by Sony Entertainment and not Marvel Studios. It was part of the agreement that Sony signed with Disney to give Disney (Marvel Studios) creative control of the Spiderman movies after Sony's attempts with Andrew Garfield bombed. I would imagine those Spiderman movies will eventually end up on Disney+, but probably not for awhile.
