The biggest "because baseball" note of this game - the two guys that many fans were calling for to get starts, Granderson and Santana, had what were possibly the two worst at-bats out of anyone tonight. And several of the guys that looked lost - Aguilar, Moose and Yelich - had several nice at bats.

I like that too. I think it's a short leash with Chacin, though. Any hint of trouble from the 3rd or 4th on, time for the gas parade.

And that's totally fine with me given everyone else's availability. Sorta separate note - how much fun will spring training be next year knowing some of these guys are fighting for rotation spots? Yeah the rotation will be weird next season. Some guys who should start probably won't for depth reasons. No doubt. They are going to be making liberal use of options next year. That possibly includes guys like Peralta, Woodruff and even Burnes.

GREAT GAME! Here we go! Let's knock the crap out of their rookie tomorrow!

Corbin Burnes is a lot of fun. Maybe the Dodgers really were stealing signs in L.A.?
  6. Ron Robinsons Beard
It isn't likely, but he's been pretty efficient with his pitches. If he can stay under 30, I would think he could go an inning tomorrow.

Other than Miley's short start, this has played out perfectly pitching-wise. Everyone will be ready to go tomorrow ... even Miley if it gets to the 15th or so

Waited back on some hangers to just put them in play. He's been much more patient tonight. Great to see.

    Jesus coming through tonight!

Every one of these Dodger lefties throws a huge sweeping curve. It's like they come off an assembly line.

    C'mon Brauny, blast one here.
  12. Ron Robinsons Beard
    All of them.

    Nice work Lo!

I think even if Hader takes the 9th, he's good for multiple innings tomorrow.
  15. Ron Robinsons Beard
Great inning Corbin! Do we give him the 9th? I know Hader is warm, and when he warms, he pitches ... but it would be great to have him for a possible 3 tomorrow.

Not sure I like you talking about my wife like this, in fact she got a reduction! Good plot twist. Wait ... Front Row Amy is Ennder's wife?
  17. Ron Robinsons Beard
Nice! Good think Manny doesn't hustle.
  18. Ron Robinsons Beard
Gotta go to Burnes here I think. Hader is ready if he gets in trouble.

    Ugh Domingo. Don't chase!
  20. Ron Robinsons Beard
    AWESOME Wild Pitch run!
  21. Ron Robinsons Beard
Nice swinging bunt from Arcia. Domingo time. Big spot here.
  22. Ron Robinsons Beard
Tough to bunt with Aguilar as your lead runner. Would have to be a perfect one.
  23. Ron Robinsons Beard
Dang ... gotta get the runners moved up there. Poor AB from a guy who hasn't had many of those.
  24. Ron Robinsons Beard
It's a suture from having his face fixed.
  25. Ron Robinsons Beard
I don't see anything they can overturn this on.
