  1. Schoop was supposed to be that guy but he has been terrible He's a righty hitter that has been better against righties than lefties in his career. There were some red flags there. Supposedly Braun, Aguilar, Cain and Santana are supposed to be good against lefties, but they just haven't been this series. I give the Dodgers credit ... their pitching has been on point.
  2. I mean it makes total sense that they did it, but the Dodgers really stacked their roster with lefties for this series. I sure hope that some changes are made on future rosters to combat the advantages lefties have against this lineup.
  3. Every once in a while I wonder what would've happened if we didn't include him on the Grienke trade... I'm guessing Kotsay doesn't get a start CF.
  4. Seconded! Being able to save the rest of the studs in the pen would be great. I do think I want to see Jeffress get an inning regardless though. Likely going to need him tomorrow if they win tonight, and I want him right.
  5. Its Game 7 of the NLCS. Most definitely yes. I don't know if he'd be the first guy out of the pen, but he will be available. Great work tonight.
  6. The more I think about it ... Wood isn't exactly a great matchup for Domingo. I could see him throw that big sweeping curve, and Domingo would just flail away at it. Domingo is a chaser, so a finesse lefty really is not his friend.
  7. Yup, I would have as well... Yep, I would have loved to see Domingo in this spot. But alas ... I wish Counsell trusted a few more guys in the pen. I think Guerra could have tossed an inning. Hader, Burnes, Jeffress, Soria. Can't give up scoring opportunities.
  8. Two horrible ABs in a row. Against a crap reliever. This game started out so well, and now they've completely gone back to the LA Coliseum offense
  9. We just gotta get some more runs in the next couple innings. Breathing room. Then the pen decisions aren't as dire.
  10. I think I agree with that. If the future plan is to only have the starter go no more than twice through the lineup, they are probably better off finding guys like Miley, and keeping arms like Woodruff and Burnes in the pen for multiple innings in higher leverage spots, but pitching more frequently than every 5 days. I've kinda done a 180 on this seeing the plan work so well this year. Still, having good starting pitching is not a dying art form. I think Burnes has the kind of stuff to be a potential ace. Maybe not as electric as Hader, but he has a full starter's arsenal of pitches. Woodruff too.
  11. Huge moment there! Great work Corey! I have to think he comes out for the 6th now, unless his spot comes up in the order.
  12. Really unfortunate. He was cruising. There is 100% something to that 3rd time through the order thing, especially with guys like Miley who don't bring Kershaw-level stuff to the table. Still, solid effort tonight for Wade against a good lineup.
