  1. Hey now, that's the spirit friend. Go Brewers! #kumbaya
  2. Pretty much all of 2017. Not so much this year. They haven't scored early or late this year.
  3. I think you are mistaken... Come on man ... you've been here long enough to know a crap post when you see one. That whole thing shoulda been in blue.
  4. If he goes another inning without giving up an earned run he gets credit for a quality start. Doesn't matter if he gets a quality start because back the 90s Cal Eldred ended up being a flop so the Brewers have a history of not producing home grown pitching and because of that the Cubs got Daniel Murphy and now that Darvish is out for the year Stearns still made a bad call signing Chacin who is TERRIBLE away from Petco. I'm done with this team. Traded away ALL of our top prospects for a few rentals and Yelich doesn't even have a good launch angle and Thames isn't a .300 hitter like he was in Asia so that was false advertising and now that Scooter fixed his swing the Brewers don't have a good 2nd baseman because Schoop is terrible. Done with this team. Even if we make the playoffs its not like we are going anywhere probably just lose the play in game and even if we win that it doesn't matter because we couldn't get Archer. I promise you Wade Miley isn't going to amount to anything. Should've just signed Lynn or AT LEAST traded for him, but no... Khris Davis is another name I can say out loud. This team is so Brewers. I'm done. I'm just done. I want everyone to know how much I know about baseball and it is SOOOOOO like Travis Shaw to keep trying to pull outside pitches and why wasn't Hader brought in in the 3rd when Guerra was in trouble, could have saved us 3 runs and we'd be winning. I would've traded Knebel this offseason because relievers all fall apart just look at Papelbon. I'm so done with this team. Why do I even turn the TV on? If Ted Thompson would have just traded for Moss... ahh, dang it sorry... and why can't Kratz catch a baseball? If Hader was pitching there he would have caught it. It is so like the Brewers to only score 5 runs on this scrub and then not score any for 2 innings. Terrible offense. This defense is terrible too. Today was the worst I've seen in any game since the Bill Spiers days and I've seen A LOT of games. Trust me. I'm a huge baseball fan and I know a lot. Jeff D'Amico, Jeff Juden, Kevin Seitzer. Look at all the names I know. This is unforgivable. Just wait, I promise I won't watch another game if they don't come back and win this. I'm so done. The Cardinals got Mat Adams. What a talent that guy is but we just sit here with our guys like they are suppose to improve on their own. What a waste. Taylor Green never got a fair chance. That's on Stearns. He should have known about Yelich's launch angle. Do your homework you nerd. I'm out. I think you got pretty much every chicken little argument there.
  5. Well, Cubs just lost 2-1 to the Tigers. So at least there's that.
  6. If you aren't being serious, this is hilarious. If you are ... aw heck, it still is.
  7. Junior Guerra = best 7 run pitching line in MLB history
  8. See, now you are in the spirit of things. I may be an eternal optimist, but you can't ignore blatant trends.
  9. Are you trolling ... because it really feels like you are trolling.
  10. And they follow up that joke of a 1/2 inning by going 1-2-3 against a horrible pitcher. THAT is very Brewers.
  11. LOL pretty convenient to say after their worst defensive inning in probably a decade. When they are on, you're dang right this is a playoff caliber team. This kind of stuff has been happening for a while, just not all in the same inning. My stance on this team has been consistent for quite some time now so this isn't a knee jerk reaction. I know how you feel. The timing just seemed like piling on, though. Like "See, I told you they suck! Pat me on the back because I'm right!"

  13. This is what happens when you put a ton of runners on.
  14. Guerra doesn't have it tonight, but he's gonna have to man up and at least get through this inning, if not a couple more. Having crappy guys like Knebel and Lyles in the pen bites.
  15. They'd lose out on draft pick compensation on the guys set to be free agents, so unless they really want to shed salary, they aren't going to just let them go for nothing.
  16. Is Schoop better at 2B defensively though? Jonathan Villar at nearly 1/3 the cost would have been a wiser stopgap if that is what we wanted. Not to mention Villar’s speed is a big boost over Schoop. It was a confusing move at the time and keep looking worse by the day. I can only imagine the Brewers hoped 2017 Schoop was the real deal and that hot week he had was a sign of some sort it was still in him. Now it is blowing up in their face (so far). It was pretty obvious, at least to me, that Counsell had lost faith in Villar. Moving him was probably best for both.
  17. Yep, Shaw has been better than expected at 2nd, but there's no way he turns that.
  18. I forgot Taylor Williams is back. Perfect spot for him.
  19. I refuse to believe that is going to happen. There's just no way. None.
  20. If Santana had gone on anything close to one of the hot streaks he went on multiple times in 2017 during his time with Colorado Springs, he would be back up by now. Considering park factors, though, he's simply been "meh". When you are a poor defender and can only play one position, "meh" isn't going to get you a call-up.
  21. Hitting ok at Colorado Springs is hardly an indication that he has righted the ship. Everyone hits well there. Someone with Santana's skillset should be ripping the cover off the ball there. He isn't doing that. He was arguably the best slugger/hitter for the whole season last season. I think the Brewers are over-reactionary on Santana and not giving him enough of the benefit of the doubt. They did the same thing with Scooter one season with us where he started a little slow. Santana is a stud. Broxton is comparably a dud. I just don't get it ... nothing personal with you, mind you. He's also the king of those who had great 2017 seasons, and regressed terribly. He was downright awful in nearly full playing time before being sent down, and since he offers no defensive value, that explains why he's still there. It was entirely of his own doing.

  23. The Brewers also got hosed on the Gary Sheffield trade. He did pretty well after the Brewers traded him. Although Matt Mieske did have a sweet mustache.
